One of the worst experiences of my life
Quality System Consultant (Former Employee) –  Overland Park, KS21 August 2019
As someone who has been consulting for 9 years, I was happy to be chosen to work with PPG on a project at Novartis. originally excited to be there and on-site it changed quickly when some of the other team members were more involved in what you were doing instead of their own work. 2 older ladies I called the clock watchers who would do nothing but sit away from everyone, gossip all day and then question what you were doing instead of minding their own business and doing their own work.

When brought up to management, it fell on deaf ears so after 3 weeks I said I would rather go broke and die poor than work in such a toxic environment so I left.

Great place to work with great teammates and a mentoring manager.
Clinical Safety Project Lead- Pharmacovigilance (Former Employee) –  Saint Paul, MN15 August 2019
I would recommend this place to anyone! I was able to grow and gain news skills and my manager was very supportive. I had a great team with like-minded individuals who work really hard and value their role within the company and serving the clients.

Good place to work but management can make life a bit unpleasant
Medical Information Officer (Current Employee) –  Richmond, North Yorkshire2 July 2019
I'm happy with my workload and tasks but some managers/colleagues do put words in your mouth and reviews/catch-ups can feel like a nasty bashing( even though you haven't made a gross mistake) This is being reflected by a high staff turnover in some teams.

The salary is inadequate and pay rises are tiny( Especially in lower pay bands)
Pros
Good Work/Life Balance
Cons
Inadequate pay, blame culture

My experience was very successful. The company was very organized and goals were addressed properly. The timeframe granted to meet expectations was balance with quality of life.

Senior Medical Information Specialist (Current Employee) –  London, Greater London31 December 2018
Always under staffed. Too much to do within working hours. Unpaid overtime. Salary not good enough in regards to the work and resposibilities. Long hours, less paid.

Horrendous
Consultant (Former Employee) –  North Carolina10 December 2018
ProPharma doesn't have a great reputation in the industry and for good reason. If you not a favorite of management, you might as well look for another job. It's cut-throat because of ProPharma full time employees not because of the client or other contractors. There is absolutely no communication. They even tried to breach contract so they could save money.

Okay place to work
MIA (Former Employee) –  Richmond, North Yorkshire30 August 2018
Either incredibly understaffed or over staffed, never an in between. Care little about their "on the ground staff" and are instead only there to appease managers and the big bosses. Colleagues couldn't be nicer, but promotions are given out on a "its not what you know, its who you know" basis. Complaints aren't listened too! And you're often shot down when you try to make a complaint. Managers are often unapproachable. Make changes without considering how it will affect staff. As long as the company is saving some cash!
Pros
Nice colleagues
Cons
Terrible management, long days/hours, complaints not listened too

Overall good place to work
Project Lead (Former Employee) –  Overland Park, KS8 May 2018
Normal workday was 10 hrs. Learned the use of several instruments to test the environment. Mid management questionable with little experience & poor people skills. CEO was very easy to work with but lower in management chain questionable. Hardest part of job was to follow instructions from some people with few experiences. Working with my immediate manager who is very qualified.
Pros
salary and time off
Cons
working out of town

Medical Information Officer (Former Employee) –  Richmond4 May 2018
Good organisaton, but lack in the giving proper info to the employees from what their job is depending. Meaning there where exams to be given and there where no explanation on what exactly your performances will be marked or that trials are also couted as a proper exams.

Great place to work still has a growing mentality.
Systems Administrator (Current Employee) –  Bozeman, MT30 April 2018
ProPharma Group offers a competitive workplace with plenty of opportunities for upward mobility. Employees are encouraged to set goals and receive paid time off each year for continuing education. It is not easy work, and the expectations are high; however, they continue to treat their employees right and the compensation is great. The hardest part of the job is working on a global time schedule and realizing you may have to be available at odd hours. This is not a regular occurrence but does happen occasionally. Managment has high expectations for employees and hold employee work to a high standard. If you fail to reach those standards they will tell you, this is your chance to change, take it or wash out.

Overall great environment and a joy to work for.

Very good company but is undergoing ownership changeover. Top leadership only tied to the company for another year or so. Will be interesting to watch what happens over that time-frame.

Great people to work with but poor management and treat staff badly
Medical information officer (Former Employee) –  Richmond, North Yorkshire24 March 2018
Colleagues are fantastic, lovely people but essentially you are worked into the ground for peanuts.

Basic wage and expect you to come in through blizzards and get disciplined if you can’t make it in, two people wrote off their cars in the snow trying to get in as management basically said tough you have to be here.
If you are not at your desk and signed in bang on 9am, even if you sign in at 9:01 you are disciplined.

In summary, great people to work with in the team but extremely poor management and expectations.

Mediocre experience
Corporate (Former Employee) –  KS1 March 2018
I worked hard and they were flexible when a situation arose and you needed to leave. As long as you were “liked” by the right people you were successful. If you came in and worked hard with a few on your side you might or might not make it. Bottom line..... management better like you and you better know how to sway them if not or wouldn’t be hapoy for long. Bottom line is everyone judges you here. CEO very friendly. Reward hard work but expectation is nothing short there of. Not the place for someone needing actual hands on training, figure it out quickly or sink!
Pros
Yearly bonus, good pay and benefits, some great people if they are not scared to let you get to know them for fear you’ll leave soon too.
Cons
There’s a feel of uneasiness in employees. Growing pains!!

Management will lie right to your face and not care. Cut throat mentality. Play favorites. Backstabbers. On the outside looks all wonderful but once inside watch your back.

Employees are friendly
Cons
Management is horrible. No job security.
