No appreciation for dedication
Dedicated Employee (Former Employee) –  Cambridge, ON28 June 2017
I don't think that it is right that a company has the right to fire you for no reason, other than you "aren't a good fit" after years of service. No opportunity for job training, no performance evaluations to let you know how you are doing, just have a nice life.

Nope

Decent enough if you are well experienced in your trade
structural steel fitter (Former Employee) –  Cambridge, ON13 February 2017
Large scaled structural fabrication to small scale detailing in structural stairways and railings

The afternoon shift is the best and the quietest in the sense that you can do your work without oversight that is not needed because only well experienced men are allowed on the 2nd shift. But you have to be prepared to work to 3AM rather frequently because if you are not you know the layoff is soon.
Pros
Easy access to 401 hwy
Cons
layoffs

Welder Fitter (Former Employee) –  Cambridge, ON19 January 2017
Was something temporary. Would never go back. No room for advancement. Cheap. Unfriendly, Unorganized, Dirty. No tools in the tool crib to help with jobs.

good place when there is work
Welder/Fitter (Current Employee) –  Cambridge, ON27 May 2014
It is a very good place to work when we have work. Management is very disorganized and we are lucky to get a 40 hour week because of shortages of steel, welding supplies and having machinery that works.
Cons
disorganized and get sent home lots because they don't order materials in time to do job

Process Group is a very good place to work. Management is very supportive, duties are laid out carefully and safety is a top concern.
