This is a great place to learn but not a sustainable place to work long term. There are very high expectations and very long hours. They pay competitively, have good benefits and have occasional company events for you and your family to attend. However, if you don’t drink the company Cool Aid, be ready to be isolated within that workplace. Further, the owner actually pays guys to share other employees’ dissatisfied thoughts. Warning to all current or future new hires, this is actually a thing. So next time you’ve worked a 60 hour work week and confide in a fellow employee (HVAC, Gas fitter, Plumber) about how tired you are, etc. just know that they may be relaying that back to upper management (that doesn’t fly well with them). Portrayed as a “family” company but severely lacks the internal integrity to be so. Overall, great place to learn essential plumbing code early on if taught by a quality journeyman who takes pride in their craft (hopefully they still have some left) but be prepared to make it the centre of your life until you leave. Big opportunity to make over $100, 000K a year locally.
Company functions, tool financing, competitive wages
Long hours, volatile work environment
if it wasn't for the awesome guys i worked with i would have left a lot earlier. unrealistic work loads, often working alone, no opportunity to advance, cut breaks and wages. boss holds meeting monthly where guys are singled out and verbally mistreated. priority's name says it all. no work/life balance. make them a priority, keep your head down and your mouth shut and you'll do well. the moment you complain about reduced wages or the cutting off breaks they will cut you loose and move on to the next guy inline.
great co workers
everything else. boss thinks its 1952. not progressive.
priority mechanical, is by far hands down the best mechanical company around. Never missed home like this place! I'm hopping to hopefully one day beable to work with a great bunch of men an women at priority mechanical services you will not regret applying or work for them if you like to work an take pride in your work an learning everyday. Upper management is awesome couldn't have a better or more understanding boss...
Only if you make yourself one
I wonder if this is the same Priority Mechanical Services that is in the system just under Priority Mechanical vs. Priority Mechanical Services? These reviews seem very slated compared to the other Priority Mechanical on indeed's reviews
Lots of work
toxic culture, no vertical or horizontal growth, devisive management style
This company values a good name above all else, so that being said there are high standards and expectations that employees and management must meet to be successful. But those that know the trade and have a strong work ethic can make it far in the industry and learn from some of the best here. Like anyone starting out you have to pay your dues with long hours and lower pay wages (though based on experience and always on par or above industry). This company has an amazing environment where everyone acts like one big family. From wages to morning breakfasts, tool financing, benefits, BBQs and Christmas parties the owners really take the time to show how appreciated everyone is. So if you have a team mentality, strong work ethic, learn the industry, know how to take a joke or two and put the time in Priority becomes your work home!
