Pretty good

Overall a good company to work for. They have kept me pretty busy the whole time I’ve worked there. All my coworkers in the field I have directly worked with have been great too. The only negative thing might be scheduling it’s hard to have a family life when you run on their time all the time.

• Liaison for communication between plan checkers, drafting manager and project manager
• Mentor and support junior, intermediate and senior checkers
• Work closely with the drafting manager, provide input and responding positively to changes and new ideas
• Support the drafting manager with enforcing drafting standards with both plan checkers as well as drafters
• Assist with performance reviews of plan checkers
• Assist with hiring of plan checkers
• Check survey plans accurately using information in a timely manner, including legal plans, well sites, pipeline
construction and construction layouts
• Check drafted plan within or under projected timelines
• Perform survey calculations
• Commissioner of Oath for legal documentation

Productive and fun work place

In a typical day, I fulfilled drafting tasks by doing correction, creating pdf and finalizing plan and getting things set up for Project Manager Assistant to send out for final.
I learnt how to interpreted surveyors notes, sketches and digital data.
Managing at our company is not an easy job as we run on tight timescales and limited budgets.
My co-workers help me focus better and make me more productive.
The hardest part of the job is lack of digital data from field. Sloppy Sketch / Notes with lack of info.
The most enjoyable part if the job is i get to learn new thing everyday.

good $. worst company to work for

its an out of town job. however, they like to give just 1 day notice for you to go. if you're not ready or you decline because its BS only getting 1 day notice they will leave you at home for 2 weeks.
the party chiefs are typical party chiefs who expect you to know how to read minds. i know more than my party chief does yet he thinks he is better than the superviser.
