It was a good learning environment and taught me new skills I was trained to be aware of our costumers needs. I made sue that whenever sickness befell our guests that everything in the common places as well as their dorms were always disinfected

This job is for people looking to travel and dont mind isolation

Had a great time working out in Alberta, with Precision Camp services I would take a bus from Edmonton usually to Grande Prairie. Then once i got there I would have a grocery truck pick us up and take us to camp. Then the work day began. If you have lots of energy, and a passion for food and travel. This is the job for you, financially, this job is great, but be prepared to work 80 hours a week and three weeks straight. I was the lead cook of a 20 man camp, and i would start at 5 am, with breakfast, then lunch, in between preparing soups and desserts for the evening. The crew I was with, made the whole experience better, great group of guys just looking to get ahead in life. The best part of the job, was going home for the week with 6,000 take home monthly. My only recommendation, if you're planning on going out West for a job like this is SAVE your money, its easier to spend than make. Cheers, hope this helps

Pros

free transit, free food, free travel to and from work

Cons

I got lonely

Great work places, left both places for more money

As a 2nd cook I learned all required kitchen and dining room duties as required by company. I worked with several very qualified cooks who were willing to train me properly in this field. Management was very approachable and kept me working even during the lean times. Most of my co-workers were very professional and very willing to train and teach me to the best of their ability. The hardest part of the job was unloading the grocery truck once a week. I enjoyed all other aspects of the job.

Pros

Full benefits and work bonuses

Cons

Long hours but it was what the job field entailed and got used to it
