Working hours can vary depending on the home you are working at. There are 3 shifts day, afternoon, overnights. If you are doing a 1:1 with a specific youth than the hours can vary depending on the contract. Day shift start time can be as early as 0600 and afternoon shift can be a start time of 1400 and overnight shift depending if you are doing an awake overnight or sleep shift because the hours do vary depending on the home you are working at. A sleep shift you can start at 2200 and the overnight shift you usually start at 2300.

When I was hired for PYS I was interviewed at the home they wanted me to work out of. The interview questions did focus on my experience, education, qualifications, and my availability that was important to see how much availability I did have. How I felt about providing personal care? Scenarios were also asked.

It is a toxic work environment. Not much support offered by management, employees are put into extremely difficult and unsafe situations.
