What was the most challenging part of your role at Pilot Flying J?

  • Most challenging part was trying not to walk on eggshells every shift I had. The gm always said you can go talk to her about anything her door is always open but Everytime I did I was threatened to get fired or blamed. Never got any help for what I went to speak to her about. Had multiple issues with the managers that have come & gone from that place. I busted my butt every shift for almost 2 years working deli, cash & maintenance & it took such a toll on my health! I have never been so stressed out at a job before. Napanee location can’t seem to keep employees & the ones that are still there can’t afford to leave! THE PAY IS HORRIBLE!!! 14.57 an hour after being there a year & working 38+ hours a week!!!! People have been there for 7+ years & not even close to$15 an hour!!!!!!! THAT PLACE IS A JOKE! LABOUR BOARD WILL BE CONTACTED! NOT TO MENTION I GOT TOLD TO CLEAN BLACK MOLD FROM THE CHICKEN WING FREEZER IN THE KITCHEN WITH NO MASK!!!!!!!

  • Too much work in small pay. Very poor management.
