A 2nd rate company ran by 3rd rate managers supported by 4th rate senior personnel. Don't work here if you care about your career!

Indeed featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedDisclaimer before I go off. This review is at the professional level. Nothing personal is against the people at this organization. Everyone is super nice at this organization. Also, this place gave me PTSD for how awful my experience was. Might be over dramatic but I would not wish this to any decent human being. Unfortunately, in every organization, everything starts from the top and same will go for this review. The management is just appalling I would say they are experienced in their craft but have no experience nor idea on managing people. They often let employees off to do their own work with misguided direction (half the time they actually don't know what they are talking about) and very little opportunity for mentorship. In addition to that, half the management team in my opinion is not qualified to do their job. If you look at their body of prerequisite and work, you will quickly find that they neither have the education (some of them don't even have any academic education) or any work experience to support their position. As a GMP manufacturing company, academic conceptual skill set is crucial for the operation of the organization. unfortunately, this is closer to nonexistent than abundant. This leads to many of the direct reports having better understanding and experience than the managers and leads to high rate of turn over (I believe in the year of 2021, it is closer to 40% whereas on average, yearly turn over is about 10 to 20%). On top of that, the management is aware of this issue but do not have the guts to actually promote change nor acknowledge the fact -
Pros
People are nice, you have the opportunity to learn lots of things if you take initiative to do so on your own, that's about it
Cons
As explained in the review, if you work here, be prepared to sacrifice you mental state of mind

very good stepping stone, but get out as soon as you get what you need
LOGISTICS COORDINATOR (Former Employee) - Delta, BC - 12 December 2022
unsupportive environment in upper management and HR. Do not point out an inefficiencies if you want to keep your job. Sales team rules he roost with zero accountability. A clear divide between how individuals are treated between operations and QA/finance/sales.
Pros
blue collar workers are great
Cons
The "do as I say, not as I do" attitude

Good company with a good work culture
QC Scientist (Former Employee) - Delta, BC - 10 August 2021
Former QC employee. Had a great experience here, joined a well managed team with a nice mix of experience and youth. Work balance was good, overtime rarely necessary. Good support system and training protocols. Experience on methods and systems catered for if requested. Smaller company so good contact with all departments and upper Management (easy to collaborate if necessary) Join the hockey pool for some interdepartmental banter and ribbing. No complaints would work here again.
Pros
Friendly atmosphere

There is much better out there
N/A (Former Employee) - Delta, BC - 5 July 2021
My opinion through experience and observation is: The work itself was alright. There were some really great people there but there were also extremely toxic people. I would not want to go back there. HR was overpowered and unstable, when things didn’t go their way or they just didn’t like you they had power trips, would treat you like a child, and try to get you fired. They acted as if they were the general manager. Cliquey workplace, if you weren’t being fake then it was difficult for you. There were some genuine people there. It was a gossip mill. You tell one person something and all of a sudden everyone knew. They hire recent graduates because they know they won’t question GMP standards and they can underpay them for the role. Great for experience I guess. There is a high turnover rate for a reason. Upper management was uneducated and unaware of what happened beneath them. Upper management also had a complete lack of trust with anyone beneath them. The issues are unlikely to have been fixed, but if there were to be changes then I could see myself working there again.
Pros
Free Food occasionally
Cons
Poor management/HR

Bad management
N/A (Current Employee) - Delta, BC - 18 September 2019
Many people in management don't even have the degree, experience, and training necessary to lead people.
The culture in the company is toxic and that causes huge turn over of personnel that is very expensive and deteriorates the culture even more, since the new personnel is hired by the bad people managers. These managers prefer people that are not very smart and will not challenge them.
Most promotions happen on the basis of networking. If you are a good friend or get along well with someone you will get promoted regardless of what value you offer or what skills you have.
I have to admit that salaries are not bad and there is still a few people that are nice to work with and who are too loyal to leave.
