Minimum wage
GSA (Former Employee) - Mississauga, ON - 24 August 2023
Indeed featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedGood to learn customer service. Good entry level job. Too many procedures for minimum wage. Mostly work alone. Expect you to handle most of the situation. Unnecessary expectations in customer service like asking gsa to say “my pleasure” when thanked by a guest.

Productive and a great place to work
Cashier/Customer Service (Current Employee) - Belleville, ON - 5 September 2023
What is the best part of working at the company? I like to stay busy, and this job you are always busy either with customers or there is always something to do in the store. This is the best job that I have ever had. I love it there. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? The only thing was when we first went pre paid for fuel a lot of customers complained but now it is all good. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? The work environment and culture is great What is a typical day like for you at the company? I work the night shift. I am always doing something either stocking coolers, shelves. Serving customers and get alit of regular customers too so my night goes pretty quickly because there is always something to do.

Toujours plus
Assistant Manager (Current Employee) - Québec City, QC - 29 August 2023

Simple Job
Cashier/Customer Service (Former Employee) - London, ON - 18 August 2023
I'm employed at Pero Canada as a part-time cashier. It is a good job for international students who want to earn money for their living expenses. It is good for those who do not have any skills or qualifications to get into a certified field. No need for training

Stressful but rewarding job
Guest Service Attendant (Former Employee) - St. Catharines, ON - 17 August 2023
Stressful and fast-paced environment, but good pay and long shifts. Can build bonds with regular customers. It is either extremely busy or completely dead, so hard to pass the time.

Tiring workplace
Vendeur caissier (Former Employee) - Montréal, QC - 3 August 2023
Where I worked I had an issue with my pay and I had to wait almost 2 months for my first pay for some nonsense excuses and it was my first job. As soon as I got this first pay that’s when I left. Happened to one of my friends too didn’t receive one of his pay for some invalid reasoning

Sound job.
Clerk (Former Employee) - Nanaimo, BC - 21 July 2023
If you're looking for a reliable job that's not very stressful then this is a perfect location. After the reason's I left were addressed I'd work back for that place if I needed too. Clean store, simple instructions, good locals, and an understanding-family man-manager. I enjoy my time there.
Pros
Calm workplace, clean location, fun staff
Cons
No advancement

Nice
GSA (Former Employee) - St. Catharines, ON - 5 July 2023
I working for Petro-Canada as GSA. Overall, Petro-Canada is a good employer: the pay is good but they buy your time, effort and commitment with that money. It is not a very exciting industry. It is better to have it instead of remaining jobless.

Managers are a toss up
Gas Station Attendant (Former Employee) - Ottawa, ON - 8 June 2023
Owner started off hands on, but went hands off and everything got worse. Petro itself ignores or passes the buck on issues, things aren't dealt with efficiently. Managers vary greatly, between fun and positive and borderline awful. You can be put anywhere at any of the owners sites. Standards hit the dirt during the pandemic and never recovered
Pros
Easy job
Cons
Aggressively competitive owner

Helpful, but not a fun workplace
Sales Analyst (Former Employee) - Mississauga, ON - 31 May 2023
Petro Canada was good for many reasons. The staff is helpful and always there to answer your questions to the best of their ability. The workplace is not very collaborative and rather dull as a con.
