It is a good place to get your experience and apply it elsewhere.
Protection & Control Engineer (Former Employee) –  Washington, DC15 May 2018
Pepco serves as a good "springboard" to start one's career and continue it elsewhere. It is up to oneself to obtain information and direction as there is no formal on-the-job training.

Stressful and unethical management
Work Management (Current Employee) –  Maryland1 September 2017
I currently work here and trying to find other employment. I would not recommend Pepco to anyone. Management is incompetent and unethical. There is very little opportunity for advancement. Qualified employees are looked over for promotions while Supervisors and managers will give those positions to non-qualified employees that they are friends with. My current Supervisor knows nothing about the work that I or my colleagues do and shows no willingness to learn. Management shows very little concern for employees happiness nor do they care about retaining the employees they have.
Pros
decent amount of paid vacation
Cons
Incompetent management/supervisor without the proper knowlege to lead team

Comfortable atmosphere in a construction company.
Electrical Engineer (Former Employee) –  Washington, DC20 June 2017
The benefits and retirement plan are great at Pepco. The work was gratifying as an engineer. The level of engineering allowed me to work with more experienced engineers and give me time to visit the field crews performing construction.
