When they have lots of work and they know you can do it, they will send it your way. Some jobs suck and some jobs are great. Unless you have work tickets for specific jobs, the pay is also usually just above minimum wage. You can pay the rent with the jobs that they send you to, but the main perk is the freedom from commitment. If you are physically capable and are a student or need a flexible schedule for other reasons, then temp work can a great fit. But if you want stability and a guarantee that next month, you will be working at the same place, then definitely find a permanent job. Also, you often get to work with some pretty neat people, but if you find it difficult to work with people that have obvious personality disorders or strong political views, you won't do well here.

Since it's a temporary job agency, it's a little stressful because you never know if you will have work the next day or not.

The fun part of working here is that you get the opportunity to try many different jobs, some you like and some you know you wouldn't want to do fulltime. You often work with the same person but you are also frequently changing who you're working with. Another nice thing is that you are paid on a daily basis for the work completed. The most difficult part of the work is that you don't know when your next shift is coming.

Paycheque on a daily basis.

Uncertainty of knowing when you work again.

Overall pretty decent

I've been working with people ready since roughly 2010 it's a decent place to work for they have lots of work the conditions are usually pretty fair when you get to the work site I would say the most difficult part of the job is working alongside other people that don't communicate that well or don't communicate English that well in my experience that's what I've noticed other than that people ready is a pretty decent place to work they do look out for you and they are about safety in your health

Balance your life

The work has petered out somewhat meaning there is a shortage of jobs than there had been in previous years. You can work at what you want, where you want so there is flexibility. You have to pick up your check because there is no direct deposit.

The jobs I was assigned from Peopleready are productive ones that'll give you the opportunity to learn and earn new skills if you're looking for your first time job.Depending on the job, it can be physically taxing if you're not accustomed to physical labor, but it is a good place to start off at to build good work ethic, an understanding in a work environment and an opportunity to fill up one's resume.Whenever possible, they'll also attempt secure a job for you permanently, should a second party be looking for workers and are satisfied with your work ethic and professional behavior.

Flexibility in which days you can work, and you may ask for your cheque after work too

Cons

Be prepared to drive to reach some locations and sacrifice your beauty sleep

I had a fulfilling job. But I love all work. ADHD. But they paid weekly, on time and very helpful. They would phone or text, and inquire if we were getting water. Enough workers. Ya very supportive team. And you can say it's from me and send me some easier jobs .

This is the only industrial temp place in Kamloops and area. Don't burn your bridges. If you don't like a job finish the day and tell.them you don't want to go back. That way they will keep finding work for you. Management is awesome but overworked due to the general employment situation. The office is understaffed. Jobs vary. You could be digging a ditch or washing dishes. Some.cool.gigs may come up. Various factory and construction jobs. Some easy and some hard. Quick money . You will get paid a cheque the same.day. Not a career but a good way to get some fast money.

General Labour - Heavy, Dirty Work with Little Pay

You have to call in at 6am to get work and you are lucky if you get something for more than 1 day. Most work is heavy, dirty construction work. The girl at the front desk is always rude and nasty.
