Putting stock in lanes in orders to be picked by other associates.
Keeping work area clean and to help out other team members when needed The work was fast and detailed oriented and I enjoyed it very much
The job required lots of travel which was fine. The issue came with the expectation to sacrifice personal life for the benefit of Penske. Not enough resources provided to accomplish the requested tasks
A company managed by delusional ,dictatorial out of touch bunch of amatuer mamagers .The company preaches safety while doing nothing to make it safer .Once you start your controlled and treated quite badly by this group of 'managers' who are the most idiotic dumb uninformed creatures that happen to run a company .Penske Logistics is an absolute nightmare .
Good place to start my apprenticeship, excellent training. However do not delve to far into major repairs at our location. Was with the company seven years until i transfered to the ottawa location where the adjusted my pay rate and and hours
Great management and office staff always there to help you and work with you. The pay is acceptable but could be a little higher to be competitive for this area but also they offer many little extras that count at the end.
Working at Penske was enjoyable and challenging at the same time. There was always much that needed to be done, but very little of the stress that accompanies a fast-paced environment. Overall, it was a very good experience.
management makes there own rules as they go, never follow policy unless it suites them, they have favorites and only apply the rules to those that they have issues with, others can get away with things if they are a pet of management
The truck and coach trade always like to pay to low to apprentices unlike other trades that will move you up accordingly , the place has more management then people who actually fix the trucks. Great people but they will try to pay you as low as possible and having no pension with that is not the best sell for being your life long career
Absolutely terrible place to work, especially as an apprentice no opportunity for learning new tasks. Most of the shop management even knows the difference between a crescent wrench and a combination wrench. Always what things last minute. First place I have ever worked that nobody wants to come in for overtime. Have to sign paperwork saying you will not talk down about the company. The reviews on indeed to do not reflect the true company
Management does not communicate with eachother nor do employees. Missing freight could be anywhere and you need to go on a treasure hunt to be able to finish loading your trailer that is scheduled. The place is unorganized and they blame the individual and not their own process. Not all door schedules are equal. Not all training is equal. Women cut before 3 months.
