Peninsula has a very professional office setting, environment and culture, with supportive management to encourage personal and professional development, and opportunities for growth within the company.
Marketing strategies have been developed over lengthy periods of time in many developed markets, and the company adapts these proven strategies to new markets accordingly.
Mangement in Toronto Safety department is inept. Accomplishes little/nothing despite months of work. Blames people for her shortcomings. Lies, bullies employees, and creates a negative, toxic environment. Employees hated boss, wanted her fired but too afraid to be fired themselves. Perhaps recent change in upper management will correct this. Coworkers were great! As a Safety job it's dead end.
Inept management, wastes LOADS of time and money
Terrible workplace. Extremely unprofessional in their business practices. No women in leadership roles and no BIPOC in leadership. Old boys network.
Good work culture Given a steady amount of workable leads Good coaching from management Sometimes too much micromanagement Lower than average base salary, but very achievable commission
monthly free lunches and after work drink nights
low base pay and micromanagement
Peninsula Canada is an excellent place to work. The pay is good. Co-workers are talented and nice. There is plenty of opportunity to learn and grow. The senior management is friendly and supportive. Good work is recognized. It's fun working here.
The great location Downtown. It is a 5-minute walk from the Union Station.
I love the culture at this company. It is a "flat" organization -which means that nobody is more important than another. Everyone is rowing in the same direction and excited to get the sales. The culture is very sales oriented and proudly so! It's refreshing to say the least! My experience with the senior management was amazing. I felt they had my back at all times and expected me to pull my weight as well. I gladly did so! I would recommend this company to anyone who is passionate about business as they do a great job in this work! If you like to be a "lone wolf" in sales -you won't last very long here. It is all about working as a team and relying on each other to accomplish a VERY aggressive growth strategy!

Pros Strong sense of purpose, exclusive opportunity to build a brand while serving SMEs employment relations needs. Our OHS services were successfully rolled out in October 2018, so that we can support our clients in matters pertaining to both Human Resources and Occupational Health and Safety. Very supportive and experienced leadership, optimistic and talented staff. Very exciting. Cons None whatsoever. The new company growing pains are to be expected, and Peninsula provides great experiences and learning opportunities, which consistently allow for service improvements and individual growth opportunities.
- Fantastic office culture - Room for growth and promotions - Great collaboration between team members - Accessible location ( next to Union station) - Management is friendly and encouraging - Colleagues are very nice and friendly
free breakfast every Monday, monthly social and drinks, benefits
An honest review: Prepare to learn and perform from day 1, very good communication and support from management, the company grows so quickly (in a good way) its hard to keep up with all the new team members. For those pursuing a career in HR, you will need a relatively extensive textbook knowledge as it is slightly dry but will do wonders to propel your applicable knowledge and experience. Location - Cant complain, about 20 second walk from Union station. Like most companies within the financial core, it is competitive so be prepared to go in with good time management skills. As the Toronto office is relatively new, no one is pulling that seniority card on you and HR does a good job in hiring like-minded individuals through out the company. The office went from ~15 employees to 130 in a year, and expansion to other provinces are already underway, its a ridiculous growth speed so opportunities are always abundant and internal switches/promotions are quite common. Pay - Albeit competitive, I admit it can always be more. You get 3 weeks vacation instead of 2 which is great, and a Health Spending Account so you are free to spend on whatever you see fit. No contribution/matching from the company, though that is understandable as majority of the workers are late 20s/mid 30s. Overall 10/10 , all things considered, there are very few unicorn jobs in Toronto and may be as close as it may get.
Free food, monthly socials/drinks, competitive pay flexible accommodations, down to earth management, lots of growth
No Contribution/matching, must have good time management skills
