PEMBROKE REGIONAL HOSPITAL Pembroke, ON employee reviews

Registered Practical Nurse in Pembroke, ON
on 19 April 2023
Staffing nightmare, archaic charting
Always short staffed and still using paper charting. Staff are always getting to units that they don’t usually work on, even though there’s a float team.
Housekeeper in Pembroke, ON
on 15 July 2023
Management is distant and unsupportive
Job itself was easy. Management were not always available and they didn’t always care about the staff. There are many ongoing adds for people to apply for housekeeper. The problem is the management. They can’t keep staff very long because management is distant and unsupportive.
Employee in Pembroke, ON

No consistency, inconsistent treatment of staff, not client- oriented
To many hands on the pot, no consistency within department, can't figure out how they want to manage things, affects the patients and staff morale in the end
Medical Office Assistant in Pembroke, ON
on 4 April 2023
I enjoy working this department. My colleagues are all very supportive and fun to work with!
I’ve worked here for 2 years. I enjoy coming to work each day. We have a great balance of work and fun. Everyone is so good to step in and help each other out.

No work incentive's, and terrible schedules.
There are too many managers and not enough floor staff. They have unrealistic nurse/patient ratios. They are week with their orientations and lack in continued education opportunities. It’s archaic, they still use paper charting and have an incompetent computer system.
