Need to recognize and promote internal talent

This company has a good benefit plan, but could do a lot more to recognize and promote internal talent. They often hire from outside of the company, rather than promote talented/tenured members.
This company has very high turnover and has lost some of its best talent due to its failure to promote and support employees in taking the next step in their careers.
Also, management often uses strange/shady pressure tactics. Better training is needed.
