Interesting project, poor remuneration for salary positions.

Indeed featured review

The most useful review selected by Indeed
Interesting project to be a part of, however, poor remuneration for salary positions -- no RRSP packages and lower than average salary for this type of position. Entry level and a good place to learn more about large civil projects but not the best place to learn the best environmental monitoring practices.

stressful work place but excellent amenities

12 hours working period with day and night shifts rotation(two weeks on one week off), co-workers mostly friendly and collaboratively but managers just thinking of their salary and position do not care about technical specs. The restaurant and gym were perfect and dormitory as well. Actually it is like a revolving door, so many newcomers and a lot quitting!

Pros

perfect restaurant and clean dormitory

Cons

long working hours, low salary

Got fired because the manager needed money to pay for his friends flights from Newfoundland.

PRHP managers did not work collaboratively together. There were too many little empires. They hired experienced people, but wouldn’t listen to their Advil!

Pros

Good salary

Cons

No benefits, no job security, no salary raises for life of project.

Good place to work

If camp work fits into your life schedule then this is a great place to work. Awesome modern camp. Good foremen on most crews. Never rushed to do a job. Big project and site can get a bit confusing sometimes, but always get sorted out in the end. Great pay and good benefits. Equipment needs upgrade now.

Poor management , poor rates, poor moral

Overtime was good, rates were low, no job security , no management, was a free for all, walk on whoever you want, get walked on. Job was a joke. Company was a joke. No one cared to be there.

Good experience

Fly in/fly out 14 days on 6 off Camp is great, food is adequate 12 hour shifts, tight security, not enough work trucks, production is always the number one priority.

Pros

good experience

Cons

long hours, benefits lacking

Very disorganized

I am currently employed. My salary was very low considering my experience and its only been increased after the review in March. There is no direction given and employees are never utilized to their full potential. Maybe something for someone new out of college but experienced professionals should avoid.

Pros

Cant think of any

Cons

To many to mention but pay was top for me
