The most useful review selected by Indeedgood for those looking for a part-time job. Good working environment. really taught how to handle difficult customers, especially when stores were closing down. Sad to see the store go.

Not sure who would be the best person for the job or who would want it but is not one I would recommend. The y are not very organized and have issues from the ground up.

Awesome place to work at!
Sales Associate (Former Employee) - Surrey, BC - 30 May 2017
Flexible hours to work at
Managers change every 3 months so need to adapt.
Promotions keep changing every 2 weeks so again need to adapt but these promotions will cycle again so no big deal!

fun if you love shoes
STORE MANAGER (Former Employee) - Surrey, BC - 15 November 2016
Not enough full time position and no room to move up. The only thing i can say is that they have great benefits and great staff. The only bad thing i can say is people didn't respect the store, so you'll always find shoes throughout the aisle an missing shoes.
Pros
discount on shoes
Cons
mall hours

Lots of hours
Customer Service/ Sales Associate (Former Employee) - Surrey, BC - 25 April 2016
Good place to work if you like long shifts and heavy work loads.
Co-workers are friendly and nice make shifts more enjoyable.
Managers, do little to no work on the sales floor.
Ability to multitask is highly important as you will be constantly interrupted or taken away from your task by customers demanding your assistance.
Pros
Free snacks sometimes
Cons
Rude customers

I really enjoyed working at Payless
sales executive (Former Employee) - surrey bc - 10 June 2015
A typical day at work would look something like this:
1) vamping shoes
2) cleaning and tagging

5) Mopping the back room

Sales Associate (Former Employee) - Surrey, BC - 1 July 2014
team work is very important, and dealing with different personalities, managment encouraged an "open door" policy, hardest part of the job was dealing with an unhappy customers, most enjoyable was seeing a satisfied customer
