Can be stressful, but overall fun
I worked at Payless ShoeSource for nearly 2 decades. I found they treated their employees quite well if their work performance warranted it. It was a lot of work with large shipments, changing promotions every couple weeks (tagging many boxes of shoes individually), and balancing customers with maintaining the store. Even though some days were a challenge, it is still my favourite job I've ever had. I miss the people I had the opportunity to work with.Assistant Manager in Toronto, ON

Was a great place to gain retail experience
Payless was a great starter company for anyone looking to break into the retail industry. The pay was minimum wage and the hours were somewhat flexible. Management varied by location. Key Holder in Greater Sudbury, ON

Management ruined the job for me
Company was an okay experience, management wasn't great. I really wish retail companies took advice from workers on what products sell and should be focused on.Assistant Manager in Belleville, ON

Business no longer exist. I wrote this review so Indeed would stop asking me to rate my experience every time I logged on
When it was in operation, it was a great place to work. Our store was lucky we had a great team and management was firm but fair and approachable. Too bad the company was unable to survive Sales Associate in Winnipeg, MB

Starter job
Okay starter job. Worked during high school. Not much to say as they have closed down. All in all it was a decent place to work while in school as a kid. What would you say about your employer?
