Pathstone Mental Health was my first student placement in college. I felt scared and worried but those feelings went away fast. I gained experience learning from my supervisor. I had the opportunity to run programming for the students. For being my first placement, I was glad that it was Pathstones.

Love what I do but need to be compensated a lot more. I am looking for pension and benefits. Overall I am a great team player and have helped many sick children and families over the years but I'm looking to try something new.

Providing respite care for families is wonder for personal flexabilty with life and job. However some client can be challenging, and often some time agressive with no accesable team support other than parents if at the time are available.

- Specialized classroom setting using small classes that provides treatment and education by a multi-disciplinary team for youth living with significant emotional or mental health problems - Support clients achieve treatment plan goals - Developed social skills and group activities for youth - Researched available community resources for clients - Provided mentoring and support to clients - Completed behavioural logs - Individual and group setting motivational interviewing/counseling - Attended Treatment Planning meetings - Supervision of clients in classroom setting - Attended outing in community with clients - Observation of class management and social skills
