31 May 2021
Oceana PARC founded PARC’s Corporate team in the Workout to Conquer Cancer Fundraiser. With the goal of completing a workout every day in May, this fundraiser is an excellent way to bring all 5 PARC residences together for a good cause. With encouragement from our Active Living Mangers and Wellness Coaches onsite, residents are able to join the fun too.

A rewarding career awaits

If you’re seeking a meaningful opportunity that gives you a higher purpose and enhances the lives of seniors, say hello to a career at PARC Retirement Living. We’re proud to offer a work environment that fosters growth, team commitment, service excellence and respect for all.

How PARC Is Keeping Employees Safe During COVID-19

We continue to keep our residences safe, vibrant and active. The vaccine rollout has begun and PARC is ready. As an essential service provider, PARC will be up and running throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. In order to do so as safely as possible, we have implemented staunch new measures. We are sanitizing common areas and high-touch points regularly and often, and have put physical distancing rules in place at all of our residences. Employees must sign a declaration confirming they are following physical-distancing guidelines when not at work, and self-isolating in case of illness or potential exposure. To limit employee points of contact, we have created part-time and full-time positions for current team members, to increase their hours at PARC. This means they now only need to work at one job. We also require employees, who may have exposure to the virus, to self isolate before returning to the workplace We’re closely following all recommended preventative measures from BC’s Public Health Officer, and promoting them in our communities with posters and stickers: • Wash your hands frequently • Avoid touching your nose, eyes, or mouth with unwashed hands • Cover your cough or sneeze into a tissue, and then throw away the tissue • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces • Avoid close contact with people who are sick • Stay home if you’re sick PARC now requires employees to wear non-medical masks because physical distancing may not always be possible, this is in alignment with the direction form BC’s Public Health Officer. We have also installed plexiglass windows at reception areas to keep both residents and staff safe.

How It All Started

How it all started In 1994, my mother moved into a retirement residence, changing both her life and mine. Her life become richer and more fulfilled because she lived in the heart of her community with great services, activities and new friends – all in a beautiful and familiar setting. This personal experience led me to change the course of my architecture career to focus exclusively on the design, development and management of retirement residences. Today, PARC Retirement Living prides itself on building and operating inspired spaces where seniors can live with vibrancy and vitality. We look forward to welcoming you. -Rainer Müller, Founder and Chairman PARC Retirement Living

Active. Connected. Vibrant.

You’ll notice something very different about PARC Retirement Living. We get involved at every level. We not only build and operate all our premium retirement residences, but we also connect with and contribute to the well-being of the local communities we’re part of. And we do it all with a whole lot of heart. We contribute to the well-being of the local community and become an integral part of the neighbourhood. We do this by supporting programs that directly involve and interest our residents, as well as attract independent seniors to local neighbourhoods. We also partner with non-profit organizations that support a broad cross-section of services to help strengthen the community. Each year, we contribute more than $400K to local organizations that make a difference in the lives of seniors.
