All licensed security guards have a background check conducted by the Ministry of Community Safety at the Licensing stage. Certain sites require a higher level of background and/or security clearance. This is completed with the employee with assistance from Paragon Management.

You can'r have a provincial security license with a criminal record. Unless you get on to one of their high profile sites like CIBC on King & Bay. It's the only site that I'm aware of they do a complete background check including financial background check since you are around sensitive information materials. Where you are working around a lot of different legal and banking offices. Otherwise, generally a background check is not require if you have your security license in good standing.
