All licensed security guards have a background check conducted by the Ministry of Community Safety at the Licensing stage. Certain sites require a higher level of background and/or security clearance. This is completed with the employee with assistance from Paragon Management.
Applicants for full time work should be available for all shifts. However, if an applicant has restrictions on certain hours or a site preference, this will not disqualify them for employment, but please be honest and discuss this with your Recruiter during the interview. Part time positions have more flexible hours.

How long does it take to get hired from start to finish at Paragon Security? What are the steps along the way?
Paragon's on-boarding/hiring process is very fast. Experienced guards can often start immediately. Those new to the industry are immediately booked into two days training and are deployed to the field upon completion.
Paragon Security is a family business. Family business describes more than the ownership of the company it is the vibe and culture. Everyone gets a fair chance at Paragon. If you were in charge, what would you do to make Paragon Security a better place to work?
That's a long list. For one, be more selective in the hiring process, there are far too many people there that have no clue what they're doing and many who don't care.
Provide more training for those interested. Give people a reason to care about their job by properly equipping them for their job.
If you ask your employees to enforce rules, don't immediately throw them under the bus when someone is upset about them enforcing the rules.
What is the vacation policy like at Paragon Security? How many vacation days do you get per year?
As per Employment Standards, based on tenure.
Shifts are generally 8 hours in length although some rotations may require 12 hour shifts (for example on weekends or a 'Continental' rotation). Weekly schedules are maximum 44 hours per week. Overtime is always available, and is completely optional.
