Great place to work with opportunities for advancement!
Office Manager (Current Employee) - British Columbia - 12 July 2022
Indeed featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedThe positives far outweigh the negatives. We have great management and I have had multiple advancements within my short time here, all encouraged by our management team. The people and the culture are great and it is a gratifying job that I sincerely recommend to those with a passion of helping others.
Pros

Unsatisfying.
Physiotherapy Assistant (Former Employee) - Midland, ON - 25 November 2023
What is the best part of working at the company? Meeting new clients and helping with their recovery process. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? The caseload can be quite heavy. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Unwelcoming, clique like, finance based as opposed to patient focused. What is a typical day like for you at the company? Good, depending on patient load.

A Horribly toxic place to work & Bad mangement
Customer Care Coordinator (Former Employee) - Trafalgar, ON - 7 November 2023
I think I am over Qualified to work here but I loved working with the coworkers, patients, and atmosphere/environment, except my direct manager who was without any work ethics and moods management gossips about employees to employees. Tonnes of office politics, made for a very negative work environment.
Cons
Attitude

Terrible Management, they only want to hear what they want to hear and have selected hearing .
Patient Care Coordinator (Former Employee) - Moncton, NB - 22 May 2022
They do not listen when you want more training, they do not offer any support. They clients for the most part are nice and easy to handle but when you have an issue there is usually an hour delay to get an answer because everything is virtual. That is why training is so crucial in the beginning.
Pros
The clients/ Actually liking the job itself but not at this clinic
Cons
the pay / no breaks /zero support

Great culture and amazing team
HR (Current Employee) - Burlington, ON - 20 July 2021
Typically there are many activities on the go and a very fast paced and fun culture. We work hard and play hard to make sure our patients and staff have the best experience. I really enjoy the perks and added benefits. We recently received Sobey's gift cards and have seen increased communications and recognition for our efforts.
Pros
Gift cards, vacation, flex benefits plan
Cons
Many projects and initiatives

Underpaid
Massage Therapist (Former Employee) - Midland, ON - 14 May 2021
Worst place to work, wage is not competitive, no room to advancement, pay periods change all the time, they forget to pay you or say they paid you too much then take it off your next pay leaving you with nothing to live on, with a confusing explanation. Communication is slow, when asking questions and awaiting a response. Pay spreadsheet is mass confusion! No cancelation policy, so if a client either cancels late or no shows, you do not get compensation for it, and it happens often! The only good thing was make your own hours, laundry facilities on site, and some of the current employees are approachable.
Pros
Laundry facilities
Cons
Pay

Great team environment and culture
Administrator (Current Employee) - Ontario - 17 December 2018
pt Health is a great place to work.
They are open and welcome to feedback from their employees. They present on their action plans based on feedback which is helpful for the employees to know they are being heard.
pt Health knows how to have fun. They have fun challenges monthly for everyone with prizes and incentives. They do a lot to connect with all the staff.
You can tell that patient care is very important to them, which provides a very caring environment for all the staff.
They provide learning opportunities and allowance. There is great leadership in the senior management.
I personally have enjoyed my time at pt Health, I feel there is a lot of great people working here that care for the employees. It is a great team environment and they are always looking for ways to make things even better.
Pros
great environment, team work, culture

Gives you the bare minimum
Employee (Former Employee) - Hamilton, ON - 21 July 2018
Once you walk in at head office you will see how cheap this place is. This company will give you the bare minimum from vacation time (2weeks) to benefits to statutory holidays (Civic is not a holiday) to lunch breaks to work stations. Management talks about how it is a great place to work with a great culture yet they give their employees the bare minimum and have high expectations. Management is more concerned about profit than employee satisfaction. A lot of people send emails and do work outside of their regular working hours. They are also very inefficient with their time and management. There is a high turnover rate and with good reason. Management needs to up the benefits of working here otherwise they will continue to lose great talent.
Pros
Nice people
Cons
Bare minimum given to you

Official response from pt Health
3 August 2018We take feedback from our teams seriously. The negative view is unfortunate, in reality our priority is always treating our people and patient’s well. As a healthcare organization, we make it a priority to help patients in pain as soon as possible which is why we are open evenings, holidays and weekends. We have a lot of great healthcare practitioners working with us and we are very proud of the care they deliver. If you’d like to discuss further, we’d be happy to speak with you 905-523-5777.

Family environment
Patient coordinator (Current Employee) - Halifax, NS - 3 January 2018
Ok company to work for. The clinic environment is fun and family based. Clients are nice and grateful for providers and other staffs hard work.
Company lacks growth and incentives for most positions, unless a Physiotherapist.
Pros
Meeting lots of interesting people
Cons
Disorganized

Great place to work - benefits, competitive pay, good hours
Physiotherapist (Current Employee) - Hamilton, ON - 20 November 2017
I have worked for pt Health as a volunteer, physiotherapy assistant and physiotherapist. I have seen some great changes over the last couple of years. They have made a consistent effort to upgrade their clinics, offer higher pay and engage their employees. There are benefits to full time employees, bonus opportunites at most positions and perks/discounts. I have been fortunate enough to move around the province and work at 3 different locations. Each location is different in how the clinic runs and operates. The staff at each clinic makes it. I love going to work everyday and have referred a number of friends to the company.
Pros
Paid lunches, good workplace culture, company perks, benefits, opportunity for bonus and advancement
Cons
Busy work environment

Great place to work and learn
Physiotherapist (Current Employee) - Hamilton, ON - 27 June 2017
I have worked with the company as a volunteer, physiotherapy assistant and physiotherapist. I have had nothing but positive experiences. pt Health has built a supportive network to help you along the way. They offer competitive pay, discounts on home/car insurance, cell phone, Mark's and health care benefits. There are options for group RRSP and you are paid hourly/salary so you always know your income. They also encourage you to take additional course by offering education allowances each year. Another perk is you get to work with an interdisciplinary team and they have opportunities across the country.

Great workplace with great culture
Physiotherapist (Current Employee) - Burlington, ON - 3 April 2017
Pt Health is a great workplace with great company culture. I have gained valuable experience as a physiotherapist as well as the managerial aspects of day-to-day operations of a physiotherapy clinic. There is an ongoing commitment to continuing education with courses put on throughout the company (i.e. vertigo, TMJ, pelvic floor) as well as a great network of physiotherapists, massage therapists, chiropractors and naturopathic doctors to learn from. The company has been very transparent with quarterly town halls and yearly performance reviews provide great feedback for areas of improvement as well as the years successes.

Short-term OK, Long-term Stay Away!
Patient Care Representative (Former Employee) - Hamilton, ON - 9 January 2017
The co-workers are (usually) great. The patients are (usually) great. Past that, the job paid better than most, but had unreasonably high expectations oftentimes, and really didn't come through for their employees when necessary.
Many broken promises for future advancement. Consistent deflection on renumeration and raises for "exceptional work" while the directors get perks and bonuses that really aren't merited.
Within the same position, expect to do the job of 10 other people. The company will constantly strive to put more on your plate until you can't stack any higher, and then they'll tuck things under your arms as they change your role again.
The company is unwilling to invest money in itself to improve, and just expects employees to pick up extra duties to fill those gaps.
Some of the staff are amazing, but the company culture is like a popularity contest. The CEO simply cherry-picks her favourites, promoting and siding with them while any imagined slight is held against you.
Proven loyalty to the company is not valued as the hardest workers get their souls sucked directly from them while being pushed to work harder without compensation, acknowledgement or appreciation.
Head office positions will be rife with petty conflict and office politics, while clinics receive no support and get neglected.
That being said, there are some good times to be had if you love frustrating management, and don't have any future aspirations.
Pros
PCC pay is decent to start, Some amazing co-workers, There's a food truck that comes by occasionally
Cons
Raises don't exist, Constantly changing job responsibilities, Disconnect between management and everyone else, The food truck meals can be pretty heavy
