If you work in exploration, I suggest you find somewhere else. You work a lot of hours with not so competitive pay. Work/life balance is non existent when working in the field. Good office atmosphere. French management makes it tough for Canadians to move up and it's hard due to uranium prices being very low
Professional (Former Employee) – Saskatoon, SK – 21 July 2017
French government owned company. Relatively OK to start with. Management is in France. Mediocre performing people and projects with no future. Insignificant successes in exploration and no chances to open future mines.Company in restructuring.
Mill Operator/Supervisor (Former Employee) – McClean Lake, SK – 30 May 2017
I really enjoy working in the Mill, I am a good mill operator, enjoy hands on work and I am very observant. I like the management aspect of working for Areva, each employee is given a fair chance to enhance their skills and ability at the workplace.
Clean environment to live at and respect is given to all employees
Adjustments needed to make, before staying at work for the shift rotations.
Project Buyer (Former Employee) – Calgary, AB – 10 April 2017
Great company that values their employees. This company is health and safety conscious. Focus on up to date training for all employees. Ensures that company/employees are up to date with all Safety certificates and documentation. Encourages employees to improve and advance.
Service Manager (Former Employee) – Victoria, BC – 20 March 2017
AREVA is world leader in the nuclear environment. It covers the entire supply chain from uranium mining, uranium enrichment, design and construction of nuclear power plant as well as recycling of nuclear waste
Chemistry (Former Employee) – Canada – 8 November 2016
Management shows way to much favoritism. No chance for advancement. Friends move up the ladder not qualified hard workers. Camp life and fellow coworkers are great. The company itself is good. They need to take a look who is in the leadership roles.
