Inviting, friendly and everyone works as a team
Part-time Cook (Former Employee) –  Sylvan Lake, AB19 January 2016
I same the same hours that would only change no more than once a year which was really nice and made things comfortable.

The staff are all friendly and work together with or with out expecting any extra appreciation. This was seen between the front staff, the back staff and often both staff groups helping the other group in need.

The kitchen is where I worked and it was run by us with little intervention by the owner and because of that we could hold each other accountable and eventual run a smooth work day everyday.

Not really any ability to advance, it is more of an environment for people who are wanting to stay in their comfort zone. Everyone was friendly, I was the meanest one of the pack easily.

A great place to get experience cooking, prepping, cleaning and closing for when you want to move to a job with advancing features however the pay here is much better than the average.
Pros
free food, tip outs, self managed, friendly and inviting
Cons
no advancement, not full time for 90% of staff, bad wifi in the kitchen (haha)
