I had to use a lot of my previous work experience to do this job. They didn't provide much support for continuous training or knowledge, it was mostly self taught.
Pros
Easy intake process
Cons
Competitive environment

Like most sales jobs its heavily performance based. Not everyone at work plays by the rules. Working close with your outside sales rep can really boost your chances at the many incentives offered.

This job will give you stress as the days goes on. The monthly target is always changing and is so unrealistic. It’s always so much pressure from the management to reach those targets. If 40 inside sales people working on the floor, more than 50% wouldn’t reach the target and so they keep of firing their employees(No job stability, within 1 year I have seen more than 15-20 people were hired an fired) They say need to think out of box to reach those targets but on the other side few people will be getting good leads from the management. Moreover the industry is a scam, never felt that I was doing something good to my clients. Base pay is reasonably good but the commission structure is extremely bad.

Making information available to you is equated with training and coaching which is non-existant. This is a culture that requires obsequious subservience and an excessively uncritical loyalty. Conform or be cast out. Pay is good, but half of what is promised.

make sales every day by booking appointments for Outside Rep. If the Rep is able to close the deal certain amount of commission is received. If no appointments were made is termed as a bad day.

The company itself isn't bad. The industry has such a poor reputation that after 3.5 years, I honestly believe that no one can overcome it. It's unfortunate because I work with/for some decent people.

Worked at OWE for about 8 months but recently left because I received an offer in my field. Amazing work culture and the motivational material provided by the company is a little overwhelming at times. But you will not find it in any other company and this is one thing I do miss. Salary needs to be increased because living in downtown Toronto made it hard for me to save money. You can make a lot of commissions but it's really hard to book big customers. If sales is for you then this will be a great company but it was not for me. Recommendation to upper management - Inside salary should be more than the Outside salary because they make a lot more money on commissions than the Inside Team. The Inside Team is booking the initial meeting and should be compensated for it properly. If you increased it to $50,000 you will have a lot more people hitting their targets.
Pros
3 trips a year + 5k monthly cash prizes

The location is the number one draw, being right at Yonge and Bloor. The salary is low, like many sales jobs and commissions were non-existent. You won't get paid for small volume deals that are closed as per the OEB's regulations and the majority of territories like Toronto are full of small volume consumers. I was also never paid anything on any of the large volume deals that were closed...so basically they screwed me out of all commissions. The people are also petty and fighting over territory. Managers would allow certain people to call into other peoples assigned territories without saying anything. Toxic environment, wouldn't recommend this company, or the industry in general.
Pros
Nice location
Cons
Toxic work environment. Cheated out of commissions.

Pros
great daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly bonus structure
Cons
government sanctions on small volume businesses hurt sales agents commissions

This is a terrible place to work! The management is completely unprofessional, they lie and are not supportive at all. They expect you to work 14 hours a day 7 days a week with hardly any pay at all. Even if you make above average sales it’s still not good enough for management and they will take away your pay. Avoid working here unless you enjoy making less then minimum wage
Pros
Nothing
Cons
Low pay, unprofessional management

A very flexible and accommodating place to work. The people you work with but not for is why you continue to stay. Management is not professional on any level. Will stab you in the back when the opportunity arises. You are a dispensable employee by all means. I do not recommend anyone to work here.

It is a free for all, reps steal each others leads, management doesn't do anything. Inside Reps are judged by what outside sales reps do. NO SECURITY. Someone could be fired very quickly when a rep struggles to sell even after previous good sales. The keep changing commission requirements to lower the amount of commissions paid out.
Pros
none
Cons
long hours

The work environment is terrible, even if you hit your quota, your outside sales don't sell you still get fired. High pressure sales tactics along with other reps stealing your leads makes it a terrible place to work.
