Excellent location, set hours, but a scam industry, so don't expect too much
ACCOUNT MANAGER (Former Employee) – Toronto, ON – 7 May 2019
The location is the number one draw, being right at Yonge and Bloor. The salary is low, like many sales jobs and commissions were non-existent. You won't get paid for small volume deals that are closed as per the OEB's regulations and the majority of territories like Toronto are full of small volume consumers. I was also never paid anything on any of the large volume deals that were closed...so basically they screwed me out of all commissions. The people are also petty and fighting over territory. Managers would allow certain people to call into other peoples assigned territories without saying anything. Toxic environment, wouldn't recommend this company, or the industry in general.
Toxic work environment. Cheated out of commissions.
Sales. (Former Employee) – Toronto, ON – 15 October 2018
This is a terrible place to work! The management is completely unprofessional, they lie and are not supportive at all. They expect you to work 14 hours a day 7 days a week with hardly any pay at all. Even if you make above average sales it’s still not good enough for management and they will take away your pay. Avoid working here unless you enjoy making less then minimum wage
Business Development Manager (Current Employee) – Toronto, ON – 27 June 2017
A very flexible and accommodating place to work. The people you work with but not for is why you continue to stay. Management is not professional on any level. Will stab you in the back when the opportunity arises. You are a dispensable employee by all means. I do not recommend anyone to work here.
Telemarketer (Former Employee) – Toronto, ON – 6 May 2017
It is a free for all, reps steal each others leads, management doesn't do anything. Inside Reps are judged by what outside sales reps do. NO SECURITY. Someone could be fired very quickly when a rep struggles to sell even after previous good sales. The keep changing commission requirements to lower the amount of commissions paid out.
The work environment is terrible, even if you hit your quota, your outside sales don't sell you still get fired. High pressure sales tactics along with other reps stealing your leads makes it a terrible place to work.
