Coordinator (Former Employee) – Toronto, ON – 16 January 2018
This place is mostly coordinators, some managers, a few directors, and an executive team of 6. There is no advancement opportunity here, the org is pretty flat and promotions rarely happen. While the company works with innovative start-ups, OCE isn't innovative itself. It's risk-averse, very serious, and very government-oriented.
A great place if: you don't want upward movement (to move up, you have to leave the organization, so don't be prepared to stay), if you want experience working with start-ups (and when you meet one you really like, try and get a job there!), you dislike change and a lot of variety.
