Been here for a few years in a customer service position and trust me I seen enough of a bad workplace to last a lifetime. There is no policies and communications are nonexistence. It is a miracle this place is still in operational if it wasn't for the private tenant side. Meeting rooms are basically empty majority of the time. They only got business because they are right in the financial district. This place gets business because of the location.
Each department does whatever they want and very often it contradicts with each other and creates bad blood within the workplace.
Management only good to you if they like you. If they don't like you, they will make you miserable, whether you belong to union or not. Each month you see people come and go and no point of remembering anyone. Good management gets fired and bad management gets to keep their job. Something happens on a daily basis so it doesn't lack entertainment.
This place all about bringing your close friend or family members to work here. Everyone is related to someone in the hotel somehow.
This is the perfect workplace if you just need a job temporary while searching for something else more suitable. Highly not recommended for anyone to apply here if they want an enjoyable workplace.
If you end up getting hired, just do your job and leave. Also, cover yourself and have evidence to back up everything you do because management will dig up stuff you did 6 months to 1 year ago and ask you why and if you can't answer you get written up.
