Great location connected with subway and Excellent working environment . One of the best location Downtown . Walk to all amenities , lobby bar is great and corner coffee shop is a great stop .

Bunch of unprofessional running the place. Only for them self..Toxic place to work..bullying at some point. Not enough support from management. Who you are and who you know that gives you priorities for everything.

Best Hotel I’ve worked at so far

Executive management is supportive. They spend money on employees when they have it but times are tough. Compensation is fair if not above average. Culture is great. A sense of belonging and pride is definitely present.

The hotel is great, very nice atmosphere. But some department has bad management, weak supports and poor team players. Overall its so so, I gained lots of knowledge and fun roller coaster experience with them. Thank you OKW.

Been here for a few years in a customer service position and trust me I seen enough of a bad workplace to last a lifetime. There is no policies and communications are nonexistence. It is a miracle this place is still in operational if it wasn't for the private tenant side. Meeting rooms are basically empty majority of the time. They only got business because they are right in the financial district. This place gets business because of the location. Each department does whatever they want and very often it contradicts with each other and creates bad blood within the workplace. Management only good to you if they like you. If they don't like you, they will make you miserable, whether you belong to union or not. Each month you see people come and go and no point of remembering anyone. Good management gets fired and bad management gets to keep their job. Something happens on a daily basis so it doesn't lack entertainment. This place all about bringing your close friend or family members to work here. Everyone is related to someone in the hotel somehow. This is the perfect workplace if you just need a job temporary while searching for something else more suitable. Highly not recommended for anyone to apply here if they want an enjoyable workplace. If you end up getting hired, just do your job and leave. Also, cover yourself and have evidence to back up everything you do because management will dig up stuff you did 6 months to 1 year ago and ask you why and if you can't answer you get written up.

I worked in the kitchen

Not a good place to work, hr and the union don't listen when you talk they take each others side and dont care what you say. Prep in the kitchen. Over worked and underpaid. The lady l worked with got everyone to do her work for her she was not a working person.

Worked there for 6 years and met lots of nice people. And learned many new skills in the cooking world. Good place to learn you basic mother sauces and practice of knife skills

An ok place to work...

Service Elevator Operator/Handyman (Former Employee) - Toronto, ON - 13 June 2017

A typical day involved: -Operating the service elevator in an effective and timely manner to accommodate elevator requests by staff members (mainly housekeeping) as well as hotel guests. -Using effective communication skills to accommodate all requests for the service elevator. -Passing documents as well as lost and found articles between the housekeeping department and the front desk. -Assisting residential tenants who are moving in or out of the building. I developed more communication and customer service skills. Only people that were not good to work with were the housekeeping employees. The ladies were very demanding and rude to me if I do any single mistake although they themselves are imperfect. I had to be very patient with them. Hardest part of job was time management Most enjoyable part of job here was only the pay.

A great environment to learn, wonderful co workers. Learned a lot about delicious food and cooking techniques. Working large banquet functions teaches you to be well organized, to work fast and efficiently.

Great Location
