Amazing Managment & Team
Cashier (Current Employee) –  Niagara-on-the-Lake, ON21 February 2019
Have never worked anywhere better. Staff is extremely kind and encouraging and everyone gets along, which makes the shifts go by so quick. Some of the best managers I have ever had. They treat you like a person and do their fair share of the work if it is needed on the floor! Can't speak for the rest of the OFF 5TH stores but if you need a great part time job during school that won't kill your mood and is actually enjoyable this is a great place to start.
Pros
amazing staff, great discount, fun environment

Area Sales Manager - Men's/Kids and Operations (Former Employee) –  Halton Hills, ON13 August 2018
Felt like they were making it up as you were going along. Not really sure how to handle the changing market around clothing retail and had a hard time figuring out the Canadian market initially. However, great training with training courses and constant ability to improve yourself if you want. Also, lots of opportunity due to large number divisions owned by HBC, however that can also make it hard to stand out. To be successful, you need to be organized and have great merchandising skills as they give you basic rules but otherwise you are basically free to do what you think best and how good you are is largely subjective.

So much to do from covering floor to changing all visual with no help. The management was never on floor to help out but always tells you to get things done.

The management was absolutely trash, had no knowledge of how to run a store, or even be respectful to their workers. Never work in the Vaughan Mills OFF Fifth location, EVER!

Desperately understaffed.
Key Holder/Sales Associate (Former Employee) –  Ottawa, ON28 November 2017
Understaffed, sometimes only two employees in a 30,000sq/ft store. Impossible to keep tidy and tend to (mostly rude)customers. Cutbacks and lay-offs. Not recommended.

Saks Off Fifth in the Toronto premium outlets was a great place to start my career. Working here taught me many essential skills that are needed in every position within different companies.

I did not enjoy working at SAKS OFF 5th
Cashier/Sales Associate (Former Employee) –  Halton Hills, ON1 August 2017
As a cashier at point of sale, my daily tasks included assisting customer's at point of sale, providing opinions on their purchases when asked, marketing the company credit card, answering phone calls, having up to date knowledge of the inventory (fashion) and maintaining a clean work space.
However, the store was very unclean, possibly due to is being new renovated and it made it an unhealthy and uncomfortable work environment. I left when it took a toll on my health.

Sales Associate (Former Employee) –  Niagara-on-the-Lake, ON29 March 2017
My life started some 20 years ago; my life began in the surreal, serene, and not so distant year of 1997. The same year newt gingrich got re elected to be the speaker of the house of representatives., this is the man that had a secret deal with bill clinton (to privatize social security). Princess diana called for a international ban on landmines, also tomorrow never dies came out.

A whirlwind of facts a.

Assistant Store Manager of Merchandising (Former Employee) –  Calgary, AB28 February 2017
I really enjoyed the culture of the company. It was a great company when it comes to upper field management, they kept close relationships and would reach out when needed.
