Not a place to feel valued
This company was soooo good at the start of my employment. They absolutely bottomed out in so many ways. They 100% do not care about their employees. What’s worse is that they don’t care about their clients. Many of the staffing officers are rude, are not willing to work with you, and are not supportive at all. The supervisors are spread so thin that employees are often thrown to the wolves. I many times did my job and the job of staffing officers with no thanks. I’m so incredibly saddened by the downfall northwood took. The burn out is lethal with this company.

Horrible
Staff not valued. Horrible place to work. Went down hill fast. Horrible upper management. All about the almighty dollar. No appreciation for the staff and didn’t care if clients got covered.

It's a nice place to work at Northwood but there are a lot of cons to working there
its a great place to work, if you know how to stay some where your not unionized, you are never considered full time, unless your in a higher paying job, you can get yelled at if you don't give, what someone wants even if there are restrictions in place, most days you have to walk on egg shells. If you're a person of a different nationality you may find it even more difficult. It's definitely stressful for sure, but even more stressful due to COVID restrictions.

Supportive and inclusive place to work in with good wages
Started out at this company in Halifax and it was a great welcome with good work culture with very diverse and inclusive staff. The wages are great with a highly appreciative managerial team when you do an awesome job ie good work is noticed. It's a good place to get yourself rooted in community. If you don't mind breaking a good sweat while putting a smile on our seniors, this is a good place for you.
