Security Guard (Current Employee) –  Toronto, ON2 April 2019
Pros: Flexible shifts.

Cons: Not the best security company to work for, they do not value their employees. Not the most professional, I've had co-workers fired for working at other companies.

They will pay you 12/hour for the rest of your employment duration. Loyalty to this company is not rewarded. They only like you for as long as they can use you.

Dead end job.
Security Guard/Event Staff (Former Employee) –  Toronto, ON28 April 2017
You get there, and you're another body for them. kinda like a scarecrow. they put you in a spot and then hours later they let you leave it. I worked there for 3 years and no raises whatsoever even though they let have more responsibilities. No job security too.

Festival Security Guard - On-Call Staff (Former Employee) –  Toronto, ON18 February 2017
super flexible shifts, great management overall on staff, friendly co-workers and free attendance to music festivals and other great opportunities to experience new culture. It is a great feeling to be a part of the running an entire event in helping to maintain a fun and safe environment for others, as well as being first responders to life threatening occurences and dealing with the situation the best way we can (the protocols). These are the benefits of working at Northwest Protection Services.

Good Part-Time Job
Special events security guard (Current Employee) –  London, ON15 February 2017
Good part-time job, definitely can only use it as a secondary job not primary one. The shifts vary quite a bit from standard 4-5hrs, to the odd 15+ hours.
Pros
Experience and certain events
Cons
Pay rate and no advancement opportunities

Terrible place to work
Security Guard (Former Employee) –  Toronto, ON6 September 2016
This company was awful to work for. Little organization and long hours with no breaks. Worked in 40 degree weather with no water breaks. Worked event up north promised a hotel room instead slept on a floor. No good supervisors all are rude and on power trips. So many of them smoke and have no consideration if your around. AVOID this company unless you enjoy being treated awful.
