Don't waste your time
General Labourer (Former Employee) –  Cornwall, ON9 August 2019
Horrible environment. Extremely unsafe. You're not allowed to talk to anyone during your ten hour shift. And if you're a smoker, you will sign a contract stating you will be fired if they find out you smoke so No smoking during breaks. It's not ventilated, it's around 56º inside during summer months with a couple fans.
.fr.dedepotdepotrunning. Its the absolute worst place I have ever been employed

Awful place to work.
Production Worker (Former Employee) –  Cornwall, ON21 July 2019
I'm not one to write reviews about businesses but I felt this place deserved a bad review. The amount of favoritism by the evening supervisor is astounding. If you are not part of his circle you will be given the worse jobs and treated like less of a human. You start your shift in the inspections department and if you are lucky enough to be on good terms with the evening supervisor you will be taken out right away to be put into a better position for the evening, but if not you are left there until the previous shift is done or longer. Also the manner in which he speaks to employees he doesn't like or isn't part of his circle can only be described as degrading and rude. I have never experienced such a disrespectful condescending supervisor in all of my working years. How upper management allows this to happen is beyond me.The pay is less than desirable as well, This is not a 15 dollar an hour job. They say you get a dollar bonus for showing up every day but even if you have a legitimate reason for not being there you will lose your "bonus" regardless and be making minimum wage (14 an hour). They promise you the world but when a position does arise they will offer it to everyone and have people compete for the position which creates animosity within the workforce, this to me is a very poor management strategy overall. If you do end up obtaining the position where you are supposed to get a pay increase, Management will say you are training and are not eligible for a raise even though you are operating the machine on your own with little to no supervision. Also training seems to last  more... for an undisclosed amount of time so be careful. The factory its self is in very poor condition and isn't maintained in any way whatsoever. Its filthy, disorganized, and extremely hot. Furthermore the amount of safety violations within the plant leaves me beside myself that they are still in operation and the ministry hasn't shut them down yet.The current staff are very negative and all state they want to quit daily. Its not a very happy environment to work in and they don't do anything for their staff to improve moral.Their turnover rate is extremely high as they fire people for little to nothing, so job security is null and void here. You are constantly in fear that you will be fired for something. All in all if you are desperate for work then sure by all means take a position here, but if you believe you are worth more and expect to be treated fairly or even as a human being I would suggest looking elsewhere. The only two perks to working at this establishment are that you only work Monday to Thursday and the time seems to move quickly with breaks every 2 hours.  less
