Not sure why all the poor reviews from techs
I currently work as a tech at Northstar. My bin is full, I make more here than anywhere else in Canada and they send me to school for Ford training when my other dealers wouldn't because it was too expensive. It looks like some of the other review were from some bad apples that left. This is a great place to work with really good benefits and pension plan. And no shortage of work which means something when you're flat rate

Fast paced, family oriented.
I've worked for a few dealerships during my time in the automotive industry and found Northstar is a fantastic company to work for, you aren't just a number. everything you do is recognized and true feedback given positive or not so positive. Everything is done fair and true.

Advancement opportunities, above average pay, overall good people
Overall Northstar has been a great company to work for. I have had multiple promotions in my time with Northstar and i believe they do a great job at trying to promote and advance staff that go above and beyond before hiring externally. The majority of the staff are enjoyable to work with and willing to help whenever possible. I truly enjoy my job and really enjoy all the great people i get to work.

Really is a family.
I have been with this company for over 7 years and have never worked for a better company. I have worked for other dealerships in the past and left each one due to stress and attitude from management. Northstar Ford is the first place I have worked where I don't experience that. We are a very busy shop so you need be able to work in a fast paced environment, but it is very rewarding personally and the pay can be as great as you want it to be. Are there ups and downs/good days and bad days, 100 percent there are, but show a business that doesn't. I have personally always had good experiences with management. As long as you show up, truly do the job to the best of your abilities and be a team player, management will pat you on the back and thank you. My experience has truly been a family feel and this place really does come together to support everyone even in the tough times. I have had things happen in my family over the last 7 years both good and bad and have always had an outpouring of support from both management and co workers, so it just goes to show it's not all just about business. If you truly want a rewarding career with possibilities of advancement, and you aren't afraid to work, this is the place for you.

The Northstar Ford Lincoln Team is a Family.
Waking up for work with a smile on my face everyday knowing that I get to meet new people and work with them to find them the perfect vehicle to suit their needs in a price point that works for their budget has given me a new zest for life. When I joined the Northstar Ford Lincoln Team in November 2019 I had absolutely zero automotive experience and was welcomed with open arms by all departments. I was completely blown away by the training program provided and was instantly impressed by the experience, knowledge and expertise shared with me daily from both my coworkers and my management team.I never felt incompetent, insignificant or ignorant even though I didn't have any previous experience in the automotive industry. My coworkers and Team Lead did everything in their power not only to offer hands on learning and training but provided me with a safe and happy place to monitor my progress. We started off every morning with a Sales Team Meeting not only to discuss everyone's clients but also discuss how everyone was feeling and if anyone required any assistance either professionally or personally. It was at this moment that I realized that I had not actually joined the Northstar Ford Lincoln Team but rather I had actually joined the Northstar Ford Lincoln Family.Through the trials and tribulations we as a community have experienced since I have started with Northstar Ford Lincoln including both the flood and the Covid 19 Restrictions I couldn't be prouder to be part of the Gold Star Standard that was implemented collectively by our CEO and Health and Safety Team to ensure not only my safety but also the safety of our clients was top priority. As a long term resident of Fort McMurray it is also extremely important to me that I work for and support a locally owned and operated business. If you are interested in being part of something great and are able and willing to learn in a fast paced energetic atmosphere where you are offered compensation based on performance, automotive experience isn't necessary and sales experience is an asset I would highly recommend joining the Northstar Ford Lincoln Sales Team.
