Great company to work for they have been around for over 100 years. Management is great to work with and the people are great. The company looks after their people and have great perks. They are always looking for ways to improve

Minimal communication to staff

Leadership talked a lot about work coming up that never materialized. Laid people off because of project cancellations. Benefits do not match the hard work and skills required. No retirement plan

Field based work

Down to earth top management

The top management should really review the competencies of the people down the line. Mistakes are written on stone and are used as weapons to demoralize the employees on a daily basis. I am sure that the two big brothers on the top would like to listen to the solutions suggested by low-level employees, but how do they reach them? About COVID-19 layoff: I was laid off from the company without any notice. The lay off letter says the reason as COVID-19, but I expected a respectful way of laying me off. I believe COVID19 was just an excuse. No regrets though.

Great top management. Many professional, dedicated and talented people.

Unprofessional mangers in the middle management level.

Great company, kind owners, good management.

I had the pleasure of working at Norseman and the team was fantastic. While the work can be a bit slow at times everyone from colleagues to management to owners actually care about the team. Turn over there is almost non-existent as people genuinely like working there as they are treated well and respected.

Good pay, good benefits, respectful management

Nothing really.

Learned so much, best job I’ve had so far!

Lots of hard work but extremely rewarding. Great work environment with room for improvement and promotions. The managers actually care about your well being and want you to succeed.

Safe and happy environment, with fun activities organized by the Director of operations, and new things to work on every day.

Some Employees just didn’t like the factory setting, making it feel like they didn’t really want to be there.

Great place to work

It is a friendly work place environment with all levels of employees. Easy work, with an on and off busy season. Regular 40 hour work week with optional overtime hours during busy season. Opportunity for advancement and learning new things and pay. All in all a great place to work.

Great Place to work if you're friendly!

Wonderful team to work with if you're the friendly type! As long as you're a team player you will fit right in and everything with go great! Very friendly work culture and always actively thinking about their employees.

Fun work place but very unorganized and unprofessional

unprofessional place to work at. I was not happy with the unprofessionalism and the way they expected everyone to do 100 different jobs and get under paid for their actual job....

Friendly staff

Every day would be different there for me. I was never assigned to one task I would walk in with an open mind. Great staff and caring people always willing to help out.

Productive and fun workplace

Everyone i worked with was very friendly and easy to work with. We all had our differences and sometimes nothing in common but we all worked great together and had a huge understanding of each other. The management was leaned back and easy going, but when needed to they would put their foot down. They would buy us cake on our birthdays and we would have long bbq lunches once in a while. They made it a want to come to work not a need. The job itself wasnt hard but it was the stress that came with it. Things would break down or we would create a lot of re-work caused by machines not running smoothly. No matter how hard we worked we would still be behind sometimes especially in the last season. Things were really slow and there was a lot of frustration in the atmosphere. Nevertheless it was a very good experience that i appreciate so much in having. I learned how to be a team leader and improvise to create solutions for more production and better moral.

Free bbq once or twice a month

Professional and fun all round environment

Conduct survey/analysis for design, manufacture and installing of Custom Winterize products for Drilling Rig & Industrial equipment . Work with Rig technicians and Co-worker to provide design solutions, In my division our team is comprised of very friendly a courteous members alongside a very personable and supportive manager which makes it a pleasant and productive environment. The hardest part of the job is working outdoor in remote locations in subzero temperature, the most enjoyable aspects of the job are Travelling and sharing works space with such supportive co-workers. Great family/company to be apart of !!!

The people and great work-life balance

Team player company

This company is very diverted with 5 warehouses / manufactures across Canada. We have weekly operation meeting by teleconferences in between all plants to make sure we maximize information for all. Typical weekly duties are running MRP and analyzing and confirming requirements with suppliers. Review on regular base safety stocks levels as products are seasonal and we don't want to sit on big inventories. Track orders to make sure they meet production requirement dates and advise parties of any back order situations. Enter all cost related to purchase of goods such as freight, customs and duty to have am accurate landed cost Source products for our R&D dept. Negotiate prices, contract and freight.
