Great place to work.
Construction Site Supervisor (Former Employee) - Edmonton, AB - 18 August 2023
Indeed featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedI have to say I have been in the trades for over 30 years and Norseman Structures was one of the best. Upper management are some of the best I have ever worked with. But on a site level watch your back if they feel your are getting ahead of them look out. Don’t trust them on the site level. Even though I was let go the company treated me with the utmost respect and I thank them for my time there. I would work for this company again in a heartbeat. I highly recommend them as an employer. If you apply yourself and show you’re worthy there is lots of opportunity to grow.
Pros
Work culture
Cons
Long shifts and some questionable people.

Would not suggest or apply to work here.No room for advancement and keep you in the dark about job.no tools and work you half to death for poor pay.The benefits are ok but they don’t tell you what you are entitled to like work boot supplement.Lots of favouritism and hide how the supervisors treat the workers
Pros
None
Cons
Poor pay

Great company to work for
Supervisor (Former Employee) - Saskatoon, SK - 5 January 2021
Great company all around. If you are young and single, this is the place fore you. Lots of hours and you get to travel all over Canada and potentially the world, building these structures. If it wasn't for Covid and having 3 kids, I would have loved to stick with them.
Pros
Everything
Cons
Hard on the family

Not a good place to work
Customer Service (Former Employee) - Saskatoon, SK - 10 January 2020
I worked for this company for almost 6 years. They are dishonest and take advantage of the employees. For 4 of the years I worked there majority of the staff did not get raises, not even for cost of living. They pay women less than men even if they have the same qualifications and experience. A former employee was being verbally abused by his foreman and they terminated the employee because the foreman was more valuable to them and had more experience and they couldn't afford to lose him. The employees mean nothing to them, only to put money in their bank account.

Great people, unstable industry
Marketing Coordinator (Former Employee) - Saskatoon, SK - 11 April 2016
I was employed at Norseman for just over 3 years and enjoyed my time there very much. I gained a lot of experience in the marketing field. I was laid off due to financial cutbacks within the company.
I enjoyed a fantastic working relationship with my coworkers in the marketing department. The director of marketing was the best management I have ever worked for.
I coordinated tradeshows, managed our dealer network, co-managed the marketing budget, collaborated on developing campaigns and assisted with their implementation.
I gained experience in a number of programs, including, Word, Powerpoint, Outlook, Survey Monkey, Constant Contact, and InDesign.
I greatly valued the team approach we had within this department. Everyone's ideas and contribution were valued. This was the most enjoyable part of this job.
Pros
my team
Cons
no retirement plan
