Work-life Balance

Shipper/Receiver in Edmonton, AB

Semi productive with poor ventilation
A typical day had me helping customers with their product and loading trucks. I learned how to operate multiple reach trucks. Friendly and fun environment with lots of laughs. Hardest part was dealing with certain coworkers. Most enjoyable part was other coworkers.

Work as a babysitter
You'll end up doing 90% of the current managers job, as he will be showing up late or drunk.. One guy will be smashing stuff another is miserable and hates life

great place to work
Great boss, friendly work atomosphere. Good work life balance and everyone is there to help you succeed in your career. Management wants you to succeed and is always available to talk.

Great work environment where the time flew by
This job was relatively easy. Our tasks were to cut cable off of larger reels onto smaller ones at the length that the customer would order. There was an order picker who brought us the reels and we would set them up at the machine we worked on. We just had to make sure it was the right type of cable being cut at the proper length for the right customer. It required your full attention to detail but all in all not the most difficult tasks. My management were very nice guys who really just let you do your job unless you made a mistake. The hardest part would've been driving the large reels around on the forklifts, putting them away properly making sure that you do not damage the cable. The part the I enjoyed the most were my co-workers and the fact that the time did fly by very quickly.
