Great team of closing cashiers
Cashier (Former Employee) - Newmarket, ON - 31 October 2023
Indeed featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedHardest part of working there was worrying about being fired due to lots of rumours made my past supervisor. Lots of great employees and very caring coworkers who were on the same level as you.
Cons

Not a good work place
Cashier (Current Employee) - Shelburne, ON - 19 October 2023
When I first started I was given 20-25 hours on top of going to school 5 days a week, as soon as I graduated I was bumped down to 20, asked for more hours multiple times and was never given anything but excuses. I’ve been there for 4 years next month, you’d think they’d appreciate the people that stay especially in a place with a decently high turnover rate and but no you’re not. I highly suggest getting a job somewhere else that has your best interest at heart.

Produce Clerk (Part Time) (Current Employee) - Etobicoke, ON - 6 October 2023
Good for earning money on the side. Physically demanding job. Employment is secured as long as you do your job. No promotion can be expected unless other people resign which is very unlikely.
Pros
Flexible schedule
Cons
No progress

Mostly agreeable however they do employ some bad managers who are quite disagreeable.

What is the best part of working at the company? Good co-workers for the most part. Boss is reasonable. Good working conditions. Work is not onerous. Young bunch of workers. What is a typical day like for you at the company? Clock in. Move product onto shelves and interact with customers. Clock out.

Great first job, but that's all
Produce Clerk (Current Employee) - Brampton, ON - 11 September 2023
It's a great place to start when leaning work ethic a skills for life but after 6 months it goes stagnant and you learn almost nothing. Some managers are terrible and don't care about major issues unless its dragging them down too. Short staffed to the point where random clerks or cashiers have to push carts
Pros
hour worth of break for 8&1/2 hour shifts
Cons
What day's/hours you work are always random, raises are only given to those close close with the owner or gm

For a job as a student it was not terrible, but would never go back.
Cashier/Customer Service (Former Employee) - Londonderry, ON - 21 August 2023
For a job as a student it was not terrible. However, the culture and environment of the workplace was not positive or uplifting most days; but there was always a few staff and customers that made it bearable. The tasks and duties asked of certain staff were also drastically different for the same job title, some staff did nothing and got praised where others worked super hard and got looked past.
Pros
Short shifts
Cons
Unfair workloads

No room for growth
Cashier (Former Employee) - Barrie, ON - 12 July 2023
I worked there for over a year as a cashier. Initially it was enjoyable because there was lots of things that I had where I could learn how to do them, but after about six months the job just got so boring. There’s no room to really grow within the company, so you’re stuck with a minimum wage job unless you’re looking to make an extra .50$ in the cash office. It was nice to get customer service and money handling experience, but that’s basically it.
Pros
free food sometimes
Cons
boring

It's work.
Cashier (Former Employee) - London, ON - 1 March 2023
Decent place to work at the time. New owners now so this review is irrelevant. You'll want a way to drive, public transit here is terrible. Owners at the time were good enough. Cashiers were a unionized position at the time with benefits and a yearly guaranteed raise.

Make sure to have a back up plan not the best place to work
Grocery Clerk (Former Employee) - Sarnia, ON - 25 January 2023
The probation is not 3 months like every where else in Ontario but is actually 60 shifts make sure to read everything they give you before signing and don't let them force you to not read it

Flexible hours, mostly you'll deal with rude customers
Produce Associate (Former Employee) - Toronto, ON - 19 January 2023
Working in a grocery store can be a challenging but rewarding experience. It can be physically demanding, as it often involves standing for long periods of time, stocking shelves, and lifting heavy boxes. However, it can also be a great opportunity to interact with a diverse group of people and to learn about different products and food preparation techniques. Additionally, working in a grocery store can provide a sense of community and contribute to a sense of purpose as it is helping people to feed themselves and their families. Depending on the store, it can also have opportunities for advancement. Overall, it is a challenging but fulfilling job.
Pros
best place to gain some customer service experience
Cons
low pay and horrible part time benefits
