Pay and hours are reasonable. The frontline workers are amazing and compassionate people. Clients can present a number of both challenging and rewarding cases and the ability to touch the lives of others who most need it is higher here than in many other agencies. The management are intelligent and skilled individuals, however, seem to have forgotten to treat their employees with the same compassion the agency directs towards clients. Rather they always seem to be caught up in what seem to be control games and even punitive responses to what were genuine attempts at advocacy. This often creates mistrust and discomfort rather than a positive environment where workers feel empowered to success and has alienated or discouraged quite a few good employees.
