fun to work for
Research Interviewer (Former Employee) –  Ottawa, ON26 August 2018
it was a company that you worked from home to do surveys and it was fun because you did not have any supervisor on your neck but they still monitored you once in a while. the only thing is that you took your breaks all by yourself and it was lonely. The hardest part was to meet your quotas they made it almost impossible to meet them.
Pros
you worked by yourself
Cons
it was lonely

This company barely had hours but when they did it was a good way to make extra money. Pay is minimum, hours are flexible, environment depended on your personality.

Nielsen the best!
Broadcast Media Data Analyst (Former Employee) –  Markham, ON2 June 2018
Nielsen Canada was a very good company to work for. The benefits are the best in North America and I considered myself lucky to work there for 28 long years!

Data Entry
Database Administrator (Former Employee) –  Markham, ON27 March 2018
Working at Nielsen was a great experience as they do have a great work and family balance and flexibility. When i started at Nielsen training involved was not sufficient. They throw things at you with out explaining or training you properly. Working at Nielsen you wont see much multi-cultural people there. Management style especially women they seem to be very old school regardless of their policy. Salary is fair and they pretty much start you at entry level. Working there three years and i did not even get a pay increase. Lot of university grads that come and go from Nielsen.. Typical day here is very boring and that would be the hardest part of the job is trying to find something to do to keep busy.
Over all i only give them a 3 just because they have good job work life balance and have good benefits.

AGB Nielsen is engaged in ratings evaluation in the Philippines, they sell ratings data to broadcasters and advertizers.
In the office, i have only met 5 persons and was able to engage with the same for 6 months despite the multitude of their workforce. there seem to be a lack of dynamism and interaction within the company that restricts functions strictly on a needed basis only.

Senior Report Specialist, Operations (Former Employee) –  Markham, ON26 November 2017
Everyday was an amazing day to work at this company! The training programs, the opportunities for advancement, the people, teamwork, collaboration and energy. I would rate this one of the best places I've had the privilege to work!

Boring
Market Research Interviewer (Current Employee) –  Ottawa, ON28 October 2017
Very tedious and repetitive work. no room for promotions within the company. you get minimum wage no matter how long you've worked there. if you work from home, you have to pay your own internet and phone bills.
Pros
make your own hours
Cons
say the same thing over and over

they want productive people but they don't give you the hours to work
Market Researcher (Current Employee) –  Ottawa, ON2 September 2017
I have been with the company for six years and have conducted numerous surveys for them at the end of six years in the last year I think I work for a month. They do not have the work projects they lost the banking projects and now the surveys are 40 to 50 minutes long. The surveys are personal questions and now all the people do not want to answer personal question. They are hiring but they won't give you any work.

Productive and Fun workplace with Telemarketing
Interviewer/Telephone Ambassador (Former Employee) –  Ottawa, ON7 July 2017
A typical day at work would be productive and meet the needs of the required task. What I have learned from job is communication is key and paramount in assisting customers. The workplace culture is team oriented and working together I have learned makes the job easier but, the hardest part of the job is when there is some disagreement in the group. When there is disagreement in the group we learn how to come to a resolve by addressing our differences and coming to a safe resolve. The most enjoyable part of the job is connecting with people and seeing how appreciate they are after we assist them.

Great working environment
Bilingual Help Desk Representative - Part Time (Current Employee) –  Markham, ON13 May 2017
Co-workers are friendly. The call volume is lower but there is also outbound calling as part of your job. The manager is very close with the coworkers but can be blunt at times. You can have many rude people on the phone. There's a lot of company activities that go on.
Pros
Great co-workers
Cons
No advancement
