Overall good
Coworkers are good and keep you going on hard days, job is good but physically demanding and a lot is expected from you. Compensation is decent. Benefits for part time employees. Waste Management Intern in Niagara Falls, ON

Very Misleading and Poor Management
Hardly any productivity at this place, they want people with degrees only for you to do deliveries 60% of the time. You hardly learn anything mostly just an errand runner for the senior staff. No job growth at all as it is a small team. If you try and apply to other departments that you qualify for, they would rather outsource for new staff than higher ambitious employees. Suggestions are taken well but never really implemented unless it costs them next to nothing. I do not think management really cares about morale, never asked on how Senior management is never there to mentor you properly, you are never given assignments that develop you for your career, wage is terrible, and no benefits. The reminder 10% of the time you are doing tedious data entry . the other 30% you are wondering what should be done. Non union in Niagara region

Good place to grow
Lots of opportunities to grow and change - many internal opportunities to try - tuition assistance as well if you’re a regular permanent employee. I usually feel valued and happy Community Service Worker in St. Catharines, ON

Don’t bother
Niagara region sounds like a dream job, but don’t bother. Management is downright disrespectful. There is no work life balance and you get treated terribly. Pay is okay, but it is not keeping up with cost of living and inflation. Good job security because of unions but they don’t actually do anything to help. The company is way too too heavy and management is cliquey and overpaid. Program Assistant in Thorold, ON

Toxic workplace
Like high-school. People are out to get each other. Management unsupportive with staff. Great coworkers but everyone is stressed and overworked. Made to feel bad if you are sick one day. What would you say about your employer?
