Lead Hand Welder in Calgary, AB

they always talk about communication, but there is no interest when people try to use it.Frustrating, stressful, unpredictable, exhausting place. never recognized for your contribution, revolving door in the office and the floor.
Journeyman Parts Technician in Calgary, AB

Difficult& Stressful environment
Very very disorganized in product support dept. No communication between the main office, parts techs, field techs & management, causing major issues with completing daily duties in a timely manor.Biggest challenge - serial numbers are not provided to parts staff when quotes are requested. If you need a part you also need a serial # when calling the vendors, electronic parts catalogs are based on serial #'s.... The new materials manager needs to step up and help with daily parts requests, it's not all about #'s and profits! Helping your customers/techs get what they need is key to getting a sale. I belive strongly in providing quality customer service, this position did not allow me to do so. I was handling a work load of 2.5 people, and not taken seriously when I talked to management. VERY VERY STRESSFUL!The owner is a very nice person, but has no clue how to run a successful product support dept, main focus is complete package sales. On the upside, when stressed you can go out into the yard and watch the horses & donkey in the farmers field! Sometimes the hoses will be close and let you pet them :) There's also some great people that work here and you can converse with coworkers without management getting upset.
Welder/Fabricator in Calgary, AB

Not a good place to work. Not disgruntled just the truth.
Worst gas compression shop in Calgary area. A little dog trying to run with the big dogs. Everyone is overworked and poorly paid. Management never comes on floor. Very out of touch. Poor vacation. No RRSP No TFSA No Pension. And no overtime so employees can not make decent wages.
Accountant in Balzac, AB

Good Company, Needs to better organize
They are a great company in a lot of ways. They consolidated 2 organizations in 2018, and are slowly working to consolidate the cultures and work styles of these organizations to move forward. In my short time with the organization, I enjoyed dealing with the various departments and employees. The Senior Leadership Team is trying to move the company forward, and looking to better organize through process and procedure development. The only con is the structure of the Finance Department. The Manager is a lovely person with great experience - at larger companies. They lack experience within smaller organizations, and are unsure of how each position with the department works. It makes it challenging to obtain the support you need, as management puts it on you to get yourself up and running with the various systems and tools you need to do your job. As well, there has been a great deal of turnover within the department in 2022. Two employees have retired - only the Payroll/HR position was successfully replaced. The Accountant position has had 2 candidates come and go since March 2022.

Very busy and creative working place
Next is very busy and creative working place, you got big challenge, used Autocad and Solidworks to design PID and GA drawings. I finished many projects over 2years and very good experience for design work.
