The employees are great, all very understanding, and wonderful to work with. They are a very helpful wonderful bunch.
Manager doesnt like for employees to get to close with each other. Manager also tends to take things out on the employees when things do not go her way. When i say "things wouldnt go her way" i mean to the to a ridiculous extent. For example: if you are going to be late due to weather, and call to alert the manager, you will get an attitude and treated badly and rushed for the day. Having an overbearing manager that makes sure you dont converse with co workers became ridiculous. If seen talking to other employees, i would get rude glances and sometimes get shooed away. I would get rushed in cleaning rooms. Then when things were not done i would get in trouble and the manager couldnt understand why things werent getting done. Its understandable to need to be fast paced, but it got ridiculous especially with them on my heels about going faster. Which definitely didnt help because it made me second guess everything i was doing, Therefore taking longer
Manager also is known for stealing tips. Multiple (and i stress this) co workers in the time that i was working at this establishment, came up to me and told me to make sure that our manager did not go into the rooms before i had stripped the beds because if the customer had left a tip it would disappear. Sometimes people would leave a thank you note and a tip, i would come around to clean the room and the tip would be gone. (Usually people dont write a thank you note and not leave a tip) What people dont knowmore... is that this manager has been caught stealing tips at other jobs they have worked at and has also been caught at this establishment, which didnt get further investigated (due to the lack of video equipment) This is all things that people applying for this job need to know. When this manager decides that they arnt on favor of you, they will do Anything to get rid of you, even break her own rules that they put in place or intentionally sabotage rooms. The way this manager works is completely ...... .. (i just feel bad for the employees having to deal with this problem) Nobody will speak up about the issue, so hopefully it will be brought to light again seeing how i personally feel as though it happened to me.
Favrotism- if a more experienced worker comes in, and you are in line for equipment to be issued to you, others will recieve equipment before you.
I learned easier ways to properly execute my housekeeping.
Hopefully these problems get fixed in the near future. I also hope that this horrid review will show people that this job is totally not worth the headache.
