Boom truck driver/ customer service in Lloydminster, AB

Just a job, not a career.
Worked at the Lloydminster store in the yard and as a truck driver. Unionized position that has no room for advancement unless someone dies.If you are a progressive thinker, your opinion will not be heard. Just keep your head down, do your work and try not to get caught up in the drama.

Next in line
They could care less if you’ve been there for a year or 40 years if you work in the yard there is no room for improvement through job opportunity’s and your wage will essentially never go up no matter what you do, learn or achieve that placed culture is based on who you know not what you know and if you not a yes man they will cut you down and try there utter best to get you to leave. Like a wise man once said and I shallow follow it his footsteps and say it’s a job not a career.

Would rather work at McDonalds
Don’t be fooled by the smiling faces you see at interview. You will learn quickly how miserable everyone is at NLC. There is no morale whatsoever, the managers will over work you with no guidance, reward, or appreciation. Extremely misogynistic management running the show without a clue of what they are doing. The benefits & pay are not worth the stress you go through. Advice would be to look elsewhere and save the multiple headaches.

Great place to work if you want to be a slave.
They pay a starting wage of 16 an hour, no where near enough for the duties you will be expected to do or to support a family. During the pandemic they have nothing in place for social distancing and only one bathroom to wash your hands in the shop out in the yard you have nothing no masks or rules for customers in the yard. If you work here and do good work you will never be appreciated for it and you will never have a chance to move up in the company. They will write you up 4 times without telling you anything about it then corner you to sign the write up with no witness they do not do things legally. The people in the yard are amazing however they were the only part of the job i enjoyed. I wouldnt want my worst enemy to work here it is a place were they ask you for the world and give nothing in return.
