Best Job
VIDEO DIRECTOR, PRODUCER, DP, EDITOR (Former Employee) –  Wilmington, NC2 October 2018
This company is the best- they're innovating the industry and having a good time doing it. And they're doing it right. Lots of effort into beneficial tech solutions and finding great people to be apart of their fast-growing family. With volunteer days, sunrise paddle boarding during the summer, ping pong tables, and other awesome events throughout the year, nCino is a great place to be.

Senior Developer (Current Employee) –  Wilmington, NC18 September 2017
Overall this is a good company to work for. There is a good structure in place to succeed as a software developer. The scrum principles are adopted and practice by all members and the benefits are very evident. Come here if you want to learn.

Startup building on the Salesforce platform
Salesforce Certified Senior Developer (Former Employee) –  Wilmington, NC19 July 2015
nCino is a fine starting company for individuals interested in working under startup conditions and using the Salesforce platform exclusively. Staff is young, average age about 23,
Sprints are demanding and unrelenting. Salaries are typical for Wilmington NC, but company pays all benefits. Bank Operating System is core product, which currently is only a LOS for community Banking market that suffers from a manual process for Loan Origination and is desperate for any automation. Aspire to provide all functions required by banks of increasing size and assets, culminating in adoption by Wall Street, which is unlikely for a variety of reasons. Emphasis is on sales at the expense of resources, which are largely comprised of local programmers. Consequently they ride on the fine line of expanding too quickly. Emphasis is on code development and quick release based on Agile Scrum. Management is very sharp; nCino is a technology spinoff from Live Oak bank. They do have solid capitalization. Stock options are offered with salary. If you are able to code Apex/JavaScript at full steam, you may find the development environment congenial. The board of directors and senior management are sharp and executing with a high degree of competence. A Live Oak Bank spinoff, nCino does not have SME's aside from the board and most of the teams are lacking in business knowledge. Tickets are usually small scale, which are worked on around the clock and there is usually no time to acquire knowledge of the business or even study to Salesforce Certifications. Sales team is aggressive in acquiring
more... clients, but the engineering back end as is does not have the sustaining power to keep up with commitments requiring the company to hire consultants if possible; especially as the local market of talented programmers is largely exhausted. All of these issues are able to be easily remedied; but there appears to be no action to do so. Lead Architect had just left the company and in conjunction with the newness of the existing staff is very difficult to come up to speed without a process for senior members to convey knowledge.  less
