Interesting place to work, lots of varied projects to deliver
Business Analyst (Current Employee) - Ottawa, ON - 11 January 2023
Indeed featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedDecent place to work. -The organization is still struggling with how to manage hybrid working long term. Right now flexibly to WFH is high. 👍🏻 -Some teams are VERY tight and have worked together for many years. In other teams, it's been tough connecting with them through Covid. Hopefully this will continue to improve. -Pay is quiet good, I'm not sure why people complain about this so often. Perhaps that's how it got to be so good 🙂
Pros
Work Life Balance, Hybrid work location (For my role), Variety of projects
Cons
Micro-management prevalent.

Productive and fun workplace with table tennis table
Air Traffic Controller (Current Employee) - Surrey, BC - 2 June 2022
Good place to work once you get past the training. Many applicants do not make it through the training which is paid and has great support staff throughout, however it is extremely difficult due to the nature of the work.
Pros
On site cafeteria
Cons
Training is all consuming

Horrible Company

Its not a good company to work for. Bad management, bad company culture. The co-workers are good, but 1st level management and above is very incompetent.

Excellent wages and benefits

Productive, adjusting and time sensitive at the same time
Summer Student (Former Employee) - Ottawa, ON - 11 August 2020
As an intern there and being there for short time, I loved working fo NAV CANADA. As any other employer, they have had their expectations and deadlines and that is necessary from my viewpoint. They used to have breakfast and team lunches before initiating a deadline and after ending one. loved that they take care of their employees by offering fruits everyday at the premises. they have great benefits and salary packages. Staff is friendly and professional at the same time.

Low Productivity
Network Analyst (Former Employee) - Hunt Club, ON - 10 June 2020
bad experience, they are not sure what they hire people for. Full politics going on. People work in nervous of being fired. Really bad management. Seems like its not organisation ,its a home office where few people own it. They can do what they wish to do.

Very good environment

Very good work environment and very interesting work subject. The only downside is that this company have been highly affected by the 737-MAX disaster and the COVID-19 border closing.

Okay place to work at
Security Officer (Former Employee) - 1601 Tom Robert - 8 June 2020
At first, it is fun to work, the team is awesome. After working there for awhile, the team starts to be more competitive and more aggressive towards you. The schedule is fair, there's alot of night shift in a row.

Fast paced high level job
Shift Optimization Specialist (Former Employee) - Surrey, BC - 18 May 2020
Competitive environment which demands excellence and social prowess. Plenty of opportunities within the company and associated unions, for those willing to make the reach. That said, positions, once attained, are easy to settle into due to high wages and predictable workflow.
