Co-workers are good, Supervisors and the Manager are a different story
Driver (Current Employee) –  Calgary, AB4 September 2019
Management needs to go back to school in order to learn the principles of being a good manager and how to handle human capital/resources.
They think they are smart but they will run this place into the ground someday

Mediocre company that sees themselves as world-class
Shipper/Receiver, Shift Supervisor (Current Employee) –  Dartmouth, NS6 July 2019
Wages are below industry average and they are too busy flying managers all over the continent and having golf trips to give decent raises. Work conditions are often dark, dusty and poorly maintained. Safety is only relevant if it doesn't interfere with productivity. Company constantly advertises itself to employees and makes big announcements that are rarely followed through with. Work experience highly dependant on indivual location teams; some facilities are significantly better/worse than others. Employees who do as little as possible are treated the same as or better than those who put in maximum effort.

Tire discount

Everything else

Amazing job if you can handle the workload!
Warehouse Associate (Former Employee) –  Barrie, ON3 July 2019
Literally get paid to exercise!! Had I of been able to figure out transportation better, I never would have left :) I truly miss this job!! Everyone I worked with was awesome. The warehouse manager was very understanding about issues that needed attention. I was amazed at how much more efficient things became after trican merged with American Tire!! Safety issues are of the utmost importance and attended to accordingly.

Should I ever figure out how to get there and back efficiently, I would absolutely love to get back to it!!
Pros
Paid exercise

Minimum wage for hard work.
Driver (Former Employee) –  Barrie, ON19 June 2019
Bad pay for hard work. There are tons of temps that do the same as an NTD employee but get paid more. Safety isn’t a big thing here. No snow tires for doing northern runs. Funny when working for a tire company. No one knows MTO regulations, you’re on your own. Some good managers but the new ones are young punks who are extremely unprofessional and do absolutely nothing. Favourite games are played with employees who kiss butt. Lying and deception is also a big thing here.

Discounts

Manager, pay, no respect.

Worked for NTD for about a year. My buddy was accused of left by the management and was fired. The guy never stole a thing but the management had to blame someone for there lack of inventory control. Do not work for this company.

The management is awful and the pay is minimum wage, good employees. Even if you try and work your butt off, you're best pay raise will be 50 cents a year. Not worth it.
Pros

5-Ton Delivery Driver/Warehouse Picker (Current Employee) –  Calgary, AB28 March 2019
Low pay. Hard back breaking work. Tight deadlines with unrealistic upper management. Good workers and low pay! Big trucks with low pay. Unsafe trucks with no weight for winter conditions. Hard place to work for the pay!
Pros
Excellent boss that is no longer there.
Cons
No hours. Low pay. High tension at work for no reason!

GREAT DC Manager, rest of the supervisors are control freaks.
Delivery Driver (Current Employee) –  London, ON18 March 2019
warehouse supervisor says the drivers are useless and they don’t do anything, yet the drivers are on the most dangerous highway for hours at a time and then have to be happy face to face to customers, the average day for the drivers in 10-12 hours... the warehouse supervisor expects the drivers to do the exact same job that his warehouse guys are doing when they aren’t doing deliveries, but all the warehouse guys get to leave after 8.5 hours.... so the drivers work longer days and are expected to do 2 jobs? While the warehouse guys work 8.5 hours and never get on the road?
Pros
Free lunches, DC manager is nice, decent benefits
Cons
Controlling co workers, toxic work environment, low pay consider they want you to do 2 jobs, no room for advancement

Management Sucks!! And the President is a Liar, they will cut your throat and never think twice about it. Their famous line is "Things will get better!!" And never use the open door policy they will get rid of you like a cheep toy. Most enjoyable part of this place was the people. It is a Corporate Joke and they just care about making money.
