Reviews for Engineer at National Research Council Canada
Never seen so many ,earn so much for doing very little!
Power Engineer (Former Employee) - Ottawa, ON - 21 May 2018
I worked at the Canadian national research council for 3 yrs,
I came over from Europe and worked with the high speed wind tunnel, managment are extremely
Arrogant, work conditions were illegal by Canadian standards, the wind tunnel was from the 1940s
Every thing was so out dated by about 40yrs! Money was plentiful, taxpayer funded,
I loved every moment, did very little, got paid a lot! Many holidays !
Pros
High pay very little work!
Cons
Job security

Good working environment, not a fan of the government structure
Engineering Co-op Student (Former Employee) - St. John's, NL - 9 February 2017
Was able to work on my project with excellent guidance and managed to learn from many departments but was not a fan of the government structures (not for me) and would have liked more hours.
Pros
Great learning experience
Cons
Not many hours
