Awful management

Facility Operator (Current Employee) - Blenheim, ON - 29 March 2023

Safety only matters when Ministy is aroundUpper management uses the municipality like their own playground, favorites only getting the good positions. Don't need any experience to get promoted to a supervisor position. Well being of an employee is not even considered

The division I worked in was in a field that has struggled with adequate ministry funding, staffing and at times, challenging ministry regulations. Salary and benefits were good, especially for the area, but the high demands of the LTC field sometimes detracted from that. I was fortunate to have many opportunities over the years with CK to expand my knowledge and spread my wings, taking on new projects and gaining new experiences. Ultimately my career has been able to take a turn down a different path to the HR field as a result, which I am very grateful for. My time with CK, although very stressful and challenging at times, was well worth it.

Remuneration is excellent. Applying for a job is excruciating painful. Must completed a career profile that must tailor your resume to match the answers you provide. Experience, competency and skills not as important as a University degree.

Learning Experience

This job required both in office and on the road daily. As I had previous experience working in a Municipal setting, I had the opportunity to refine my skills as a secretary as well as learning different by-laws. The people were a pleasure to work with both in office and the persons I had the opportunity to meet on the road.
